Just picked up a titanium blue iPhone 15 Pro and I really dont wanna scratch it up. Ive been looking at cases online and Im honestly pretty torn right now. I saw the official Apple Silicone ones but I read on some forums that they start peeling like crazy after a few months and for 50 bucks that seems like a total rip off honestly. Then I saw the Spigen Mag Armor which is way cheaper but I'm worried it might be too bulky for my pockets since I hike a lot on the weekends and need something slim. Does anyone have a MagSafe case they actually love that isnt too thick but still has a strong magnet? I really need the magnet to stay put on my car mount...

I totally feel you on the Apple Silicone thing... total waste of cash since they fall apart so fast. Since you're into hiking, you definitely want something that stays slim but can take a bump. I'd suggest looking at the iPhone+15+Pro&linkCode=osi&------123456890?5422-20" target="_blank" rel="nofollow sponsored">ESR Classic Hybrid Case with HaloLock for iPhone 15 Pro. I’ve been using one for a few months and the magnets are super strong—honestly stronger than the official ones, which is great for car mounts. It’s way cheaper too, usually around twenty bucks on sale. One thing to be careful about though... some clear cases turn yellow really fast, so make sure to check if it has any anti-yellowing tech. Another solid budget option is the iPhone+15+Pro&linkCode=osi&------123456890?5422-20" target="_blank" rel="nofollow sponsored">Spigen Liquid Air Mag MagSafe for iPhone 15 Pro. It’s got that cool texture so it won't slip out of your hand when you're out on a trail, and it’s way thinner than the Mag Armor you mentioned. I would suggest staying away from the super cheap generic brands on Amazon. I tried a 'no-name' one once and the phone slid right off my car mount on the highway. Not fun. Just make sure whatever you get has these things:

  • a decent lip around the camera lenses
  • raised corners for drop protection
  • textured sides for better grip Basically, dont overspend on the fancy brands when the mid-range stuff does a better job anyway. Just keep an eye out for sales on Amazon or eBay since you can usually find them even cheaper there.

TL;DR: Try the iPhone+15+Pro+Case&linkCode=osi&------123456890?5422-20" target="_blank" rel="nofollow sponsored">UAG Essential Armor MagSafe iPhone 15 Pro Case. It is super slim but the magnets are legit for car mounts. One quick tip: always check your car mount for dust since that ruins the magnetic grip while driving. It lacks heavy-duty padding but is way more reliable than the Apple silicone. Let me know if you need more gear suggestions.

Late to the party here but totally agree with the point about magnet grades... you gotta be careful with the super thin cases because they often skimp on the magnetic array. Since you're hiking, you might want to consider the grip texture too because a slippery case is a recipe for a cracked screen on a trail.

  • iPhone+15+Pro+MagSafe&linkCode=osi&------123456890?5422-20" target="_blank" rel="nofollow sponsored">Caudabe Synthesis for iPhone 15 Pro MagSafe
  • This is probably your best bet at around 40 bucks. It stays way slimmer than the Mag Armor but has a nice micro-textured finish.
  • iPhone+15+Pro+Aramid+Fiber&linkCode=osi&------123456890?5422-20" target="_blank" rel="nofollow sponsored">Mous Limitless 5.0 for iPhone 15 Pro Aramid Fiber
  • A bit more of an investment but the N52 magnet strength is top-tier for those car mounts. I would suggest making sure your case has a solid raised lip for the camera. Those lenses stick out a ton and are a total magnet for scratches if you're not careful tbh.

I've had issues with several thin options where the magnet array was basically just a sticker.

  • Unfortunately, my first one couldnt handle 15W charging without hitting 43C.
  • Most cases claiming to be ultra-thin sacrifice the N52 magnet grade for weight.
  • I learned the hard way that 800g of pull force is the bare minimum for car mounts, anything less is basically useless.

Seconded!
