Hey everyone! I finally upgraded to the iPhone 14 Pro, and I’m absolutely blown away by the 48MP sensor and ProRAW capabilities. However, I feel like I’m not pushing the hardware to its full potential just yet. I’m planning a landscape photography trip next month and really want to capture some high-quality wide-angle shots and some detailed macro work of the local flora.

I’ve been browsing through different setups, but I’m a bit overwhelmed. Since the 14 Pro has that massive camera bump, I’m worried about lens mounts fitting properly without causing vignetting. I’m specifically interested in a high-quality anamorphic lens for a cinematic feel and a sharp macro lens for close-ups. For the tripod, I need something ultra-portable for hiking that is still sturdy enough to handle long-exposure night shots without any wobble. I’ve looked at brands like Moment and Sandmarc, but I’m curious if there are other kits that offer better MagSafe integration or better value for the price.

My budget is around $250-$300 for a solid starter kit. Has anyone here found a specific tripod and lens combination that works perfectly with the 14 Pro’s unique dimensions? I’d love to hear what you’re currently using and if you have any "must-have" recommendations!

Respectfully, I'd consider another option before you drop all that cash on the Moment gear mentioned above. Don't get me wrong, their T-Series glass is top-tier, but for a $300 starter budget, you're basically gonna run out of money before you even get a decent tripod... lol.

I've found that for the 14 Pro, a dedicated cage is actually way better than a standard case for handling that massive lens bump. It gives you a much more stable platform for those long exposures you mentioned and keeps the lenses perfectly aligned to avoid that vignetting you're worried about.

Here is a setup that offers way better value imo:

1. **The Base:** Get the iPhone+14+Pro+4075&linkCode=osi&------123456890?5422-20" target="_blank" rel="nofollow sponsored">SmallRig Mobile Video Cage for iPhone 14 Pro 4075. It handles the bump perfectly and has way more mounting points for accessories than a standard MagSafe case. It's solid metal too, so it feels pro.
2. **Macro Glass:** Try the Apexel 100mm Macro Lens. It’s technically a "long" macro, so you don't have to be literally touching the flora to get a sharp shot. It’s way easier to use in the field than a 10x because you don't block your own light.
3. **Cinematic Lens:** The Ulanzi 1.33X Anamorphic Lens is a total hidden gem. It’s sharp enough for ProRAW work but costs a fraction of the big brands.
4. **The Tripod:** For hiking, skip the tiny desk tripods. Grab the Ulanzi MT-44 Extendable Vlog Tripod. It's light but tall enough to get over tall grass, which you'll definitely need for landscapes. It's way sturdier for night shots than the magnetic ones.

Anyway, that's just how I'd spend the money. You get a much more versatile kit for under $250. Hope this helps!! 👍

Yo, adding my two cents from a technical safety perspective. If youre hiking, relying purely on MagSafe for 30-second long exposures is honestly risky business... one stray branch and your $1k phone is toast. You might find this useful: instead of just a mount, look into the iPhone+14+Pro+4075&linkCode=osi&------123456890?5422-20" target="_blank" rel="nofollow sponsored">SmallRig Mobile Video Cage for iPhone 14 Pro 4075. It provides a rigid structural frame that locks your phone in, which is way safer for rugged trail use than just magnets.

For lenses that wont break the bank but still handle that massive 14 Pro sensor, I recommend the Reeflex Pro Series Macro 75mm. It has a larger glass element designed to prevent the vignetting issues you're worried about with the 48MP crop. Also, their Reeflex G-Series 1.33x Anamorphic Lens is legit for cinematic flares without the Moment price tag. For the tripod, check out the Ulanzi Ombra Video Travel Tripod. It’s much sturdier than those tiny vlog sticks and has a proper fluid head for leveling on uneven ground. Pro tip: download Halide Mark II - Professional Camera to use their focus peaking—its a lifesaver for making sure your macro shots are actually crisp. gl!

Seconding the point about the budget above!! tbh, over the years I've seen so many people drop $300 on glass and then use a cheap tripod that shakes in the wind. In my experience, the tripod is actually more important for those long exposures ur planning. I think brands like Neewer or Ulanzi have some decent MagSafe mounts that wont break the bank. IIRC their macro stuff is actually pretty solid for the price... gl!

Here's what I recommend: I compared Sandmarc Macro Lens vs Moment 10x Macro Lens (T-Series) and honestly Moment wins because the iPhone+14+Pro&linkCode=osi&------123456890?5422-20" target="_blank" rel="nofollow sponsored">Moment Case for iPhone 14 Pro fits that massive bump perfectly!! For cinematic vibes, the Moment 1.33x Anamorphic Lens - Blue Flare (T-Series) is amazing... Also, the Peak Design Mobile Tripod is literally the best for hiking—it’s tiny but super sturdy for night shots. Best value imo!! GL!!
