I tried being cheap at first and got one of those five dollar vent clips from a grocery store and it literally snapped my vent slat within a week because of the weight. Huge mistake. Basically, you gotta be careful with the budget stuff because it ends up costing more in repairs:

• Try looking at specialized car interior sites for your specific model.
• Check out some videos of people doing wobble tests on bumpy roads.
• Look for mounting bases that distribute the weight across a larger area. I eventually gave up on the cheap stuff and looked for a solution that actually clips into the dash seams. It feels much safer and dont rattle like crazy when im on the highway. Just make sure the arms are actually wide enough for the Max because with a case its a wide boy... dont want it popping out like a bar of soap.
