Which fast charging blocks work best for iPhone 15?

I just upgraded to the iPhone 15 and realized my old 5W bricks aren't cutting it anymore. I'm looking for a solid USB-C charger that actually hits that 20W+ fast charging speed without overheating the phone. Should I stick with the official Apple one, or are brands like Anker or UGREEN better? Any specific wattage recommendations?

Seconding the recommendation above! Honestly, you gotta look at this from a safety-first perspective because cheap, off-brand blocks can literally fry ur battery over time. In my experience, sticking with USB-PD (Power Delivery) certified gear is non-negotiable.

I totally agree that GaN tech is the way to go for heat management. Since the others mentioned Anker already, I've been using the Satechi 30W USB-C GaN Wall Charger lately and it's rock solid. It stays way cooler than the official Apple one. If u want more ports for travel, the UGREEN Nexode 65W USB C Charger 3-Port GaN Fast Wall Charger is actually a better value proposition long-term cuz it can handle ur iPhone+and+a+MacBook+at+onc&linkCode=osi&------123456890?5422-20" target="_blank" rel="nofollow sponsored">iPhone and a MacBook at once. Basically, just make sure whatever u buy is from a reputable brand with over-voltage protection so u don't stress the iPhone+15&linkCode=osi&------123456890?5422-20" target="_blank" rel="nofollow sponsored">iPhone 15's logic board, right? TL;DR: Grab a 30W GaN charger from Satechi or UGREEN for the best balance of safety and speed. gl!

Not to disagree, but I've had a different experience when it comes to just sticking with 20W. I've tried many chargers over the years and honestly, if you want to future-proof your setup and actually hit the iPhone+15&linkCode=osi&------123456890?5422-20" target="_blank" rel="nofollow sponsored">iPhone 15's peak charging curve, you gotta go higher. Technically, the iPhone+15+can+pull+closer+t&linkCode=osi&------123456890?5422-20" target="_blank" rel="nofollow sponsored">iPhone 15 can pull closer to 27W during the initial fast-charge phase, so a 20W brick is actually bottlenecking you a bit.

In my experience, the UGREEN Nexode 30W USB C GaN Charger is the sweet spot. It's super tiny because of the GaN tech and stays way cooler than the official Apple bricks. If you want something even more versatile, I've been using the Anker 711 Charger Nano II 30W for months now and it's solid. It handles the 27W peak perfectly without overheating the phone at all. Basically, just make sure your cable is rated for it too! peace

Ok so I totally agree that the third party route is basically the only way to go if you want to save money and get better tech - been using them for years with my older iPhones and now the 15. After having mine for a while, I realized that the block is only half the battle. Honestly, its the cable that usually fails first in my experience. Before you go out and buy anything though, I have a couple questions to see what fits your life better:

  • Are you mostly charging this overnight on a nightstand or do you need to top off quickly during the day?
  • Do you already have some high quality braided USB-C cables or are you just using the white one that came in the box? A few long term things I have noticed from my own setup:
  • GaN tech is definitely worth it because the bricks dont get as hot after an hour of use
  • Port gunk is real - if youre charging speeds suddenly drop in six months, check for pocket lint first
  • Having a 2 port block is way better if you travel because you can charge your watch at the same time Just some stuff to think about before you pull the trigger!!!

Seconding the recommendation above! Honestly, you gotta be careful with heat tho, so definitely look into GaN tech for better efficiency... i guess basically any 30W charger from UGREEN or Satechi works PERFECTLY without breaking the bank lol.

sooo I totally get the struggle cuz those 5W bricks are basically useless now lol. Apple's stuff is fine i guess, but I've been using third-party chargers for years without issues. Honestly, you gotta make sure you get at least 20W for fast charging.

Here's what I recommend:
* The Anker 511 Charger Nano 3 30W is super tiny and doesn't get hot.
* Or try the UGREEN Nexode 30W USB C GaN Charger which is basically the same size.

Just be careful with cheap random brands, you know? stick to those and you'll be fine!

I totally agree with everyone saying you dont need the official Apple stuff, it’s basically just paying for the logo at this point lol. I'm still kinda figuring this stuff out myself, but it feels way better to just DIY your setup and save some cash instead of going to a pro or the Apple store for "official" accessories. From what I’ve gathered:
* Just go with a brand like Belkin, you basically cant go wrong with them.
* I've also seen people mention Nomad if you want something that feels a bit more premium.
* Basically any charger from a big name that says it has GaN tech is gonna be solid. It’s honestly so much easier than I thought it would be to just upgrade everything yourself. I'm still a bit confused about the cables though... do I need a special one from those same brands too or will any USB-C cord work?
