Hey everyone! I finally pulled the trigger on the new Google Pixel 8a in that beautiful Aloe color, and I am absolutely loving the compact feel so far. However, after buying the phone, I realized I am a bit short on extra cash for the official Google accessories, which seem pretty pricey.
I have been browsing Amazon and some other sites, but the sheer number of options is a bit overwhelming. I am trying to find a balance between protection and price because I want to keep this phone in mint condition for as long as possible. Here is what I am currently on the hunt for:
- A clear, slim case that shows off the color
- A screen protector that does not mess with the fingerprint scanner
- A 30W PPS compatible wall charger
I am especially worried about the screen protector. I have had bad luck in the past where the glass was too thick and the sensor became totally unreliable. Also, for the charger, I want something that is reliable and won't overheat the phone but still hits those fast charging speeds that the 8a supports.
Does anyone have recommendations for specific budget-friendly brands or bundles that offer great value for the Pixel 8a without breaking the bank?

Yo! Congrats on that Aloe 8a, it looks amazing!! Ngl, I am super picky about PPS specs for fast charging. i recommend:
- Spigen Ultra Hybrid Clear Case for Google Pixel 8a
- amFilm OneTouch Tempered Glass Screen Protector for Pixel 8a
- Anker 511 Charger Nano 3 30W GaN Charger
The amFilm kit is great cuz the sensor actually works perfectly every time. Plus, that Anker block stays sooo cool while hitting top speeds... peace

Totally agree with the PPS advice above, it's a lifesaver for ur battery. I've used ESR Zero Clear Case for Pixel 8a for years on my Pixels – usually $10 and shows that Aloe green perfectly. Also, the LK 3 Pack Screen Protector for Pixel 8a is a total steal at $9 and wont mess with ur fingerprint. Plus the Amazon Basics 30W GaN USB-C Wall Charger with PPS is a solid, safe $15 budget pick!! gl

Been thinking about your question... basically, Pixels use optical sensors that are super sensitive to glass thickness. I've had issues with cheap protectors making the scanner totally useless before, which was sooo disappointing. I think some generic brands like JETech might be okay, but idk for sure. Just make sure your charger explicitly says PPS or it wont fast charge at all. Good luck with the new phone!!
