I finally treated myself to the Pixel 8 Pro, and wow, the screen is gorgeous! However, it feels a bit slippery in my hands, so I’m looking for some solid accessory recommendations to keep it safe. I’m specifically looking for a case that offers great drop protection without making the phone feel like a total brick. Also, since Google doesn't include a power brick anymore, what’s the best 30W PPS charger to get those fast charging speeds? I've also heard mixed reviews about screen protectors interfering with the fingerprint sensor. What are your must-have accessories that actually live up to the hype and work perfectly with the 8 Pro?

Saw this earlier but finally responding! I dropped my P8P day one cuz it’s so slippery, literally scared me... Anyway, for safety: - dbrand Grip Case for Pixel 8 Pro: Insane grip, but kinda pricey.
- Bellroy Leather Case for Pixel 8 Pro: Slim and classy, but less protection.
- Google 30W USB-C Power Charger: Safest for PPS speeds. Lesson learned: spend extra on a reliable brick so you dont fry ur battery!!

Yo! Adding my two cents cuz I'm lowkey obsessed with getting the best bang for my buck. Honestly, you dont need to drop a fortune to keep your 8 Pro safe. I've been using the Caseology Athlex for Google Pixel 8 Pro and it's seriously the grippiest case I've ever owned—plus it's way cheaper than the official ones. Check out the Ugreen Nexode 30W USB C GaN Charger for power. It fully supports PPS so your charging speeds stay high without the extra heat. Pro tip: I always use CamelCamelCamel to track prices; I grabbed my charger for like 40% off! * Case: Athlex has a "sandstone" texture so it's literally impossible to drop.
* Screen: amFilm OneTouch Glass Screen Protector for Pixel 8 Pro is amazing because it includes an alignment jig. Fingerprint sensor has zero issues, which is what I was worried about. peace!

Ok so, basically the thing with the Pixel 8 Pro is that it’s actually kinda picky about power management. If your brick isn't communicating perfectly with the phone's internal controller, it'll throttle the speeds to keep it from getting too hot. Honestly, I’ve tried a bunch of setups, and here's what reallyyy works without turning the phone into a brick: - Case: I’m highkey obsessed with the Spigen Liquid Air for Pixel 8 Pro. It has this geometric texture that fixes the slippery feeling but stays super slim.
- Screen Protector: Seriously, go with the Whitestone Dome Glass Screen Protector for Pixel 8 Pro. It uses liquid adhesive, which is basically the only way to ensure the fingerprint sensor stays snappy. (at least thats what worked for me lol)
- Charger: Since you need that PPS support, the Anker 511 Charger (Nano 3) 30W is my go-to cuz it's tiny but hits the max speeds easily. Anyway, just remember to re-register your fingerprints AFTER the protector is on. Good luck!!

Ngl, I’m always super paranoid about dropping my gear, so I usually focus on long-term safety. If you’re worried about protection, you might wanna check out the Mous Limitless 5.0 for Pixel 8 Pro. It uses this AiroShock tech that absorbs impact really well without being a total tank, which is nice if you want to avoid that brick feeling. For the charger, I’ve been using the Satechi 30W USB-C GaN Wall Charger and it’s been solid; I’m always a bit nervous about heat management with third-party bricks, but this one stays relatively cool iirc. If you're into the DIY side of things, it’s worth looking at the amFilm OneTouch Glass Screen Protector. It comes with a plastic alignment jig that basically makes it impossible to mess up, which is great if you're like me and always get bubbles. Also, since Google has that partnership with iFixit, I’d honestly suggest picking up an iFixit Essential Electronics Toolkit. It’s kinda the ultimate accessory because if you ever do have a mishap down the road, you can actually handle the repairs yourself. Better safe than sorry, maybe?

For your situation, I have to give a warning: do NOT just buy any random 30W charger. If the brick doesnt explicitly support PPS (Programmable Power Supply), your Pixel wont actually hit those top speeds, basically wasting your money. Basically, PPS is a tech that lets the phone and charger talk to each other to adjust voltage and keep heat down while charging. I picked up an Anker brick for like $20 and it works well, no complaints. For cases, I honestly recommend Spigen. Theyre basically the best value for protection vs bulk. I've dropped mine and it's fine. And for the screen? Ngl, avoid the super cheap glass ones. They lowkey ruin the fingerprint sensor experience. Look for brands that are 'Made for Google' certified so you dont have to press your thumb five times lol. gl! 👍
