I just pre-ordered the Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold and I’m a bit nervous about keeping that massive display pristine. I’m looking for a solid screen protector that won’t interfere with the hinge or the inner screen's flexibility. Specifically, I'm wondering if tempered glass is viable for the outer screen or if I should stick to a high-quality TPU film to ensure it's case-friendly. I've had issues with edge lifting on previous foldables, so durability is a huge concern for me. Has anyone found a brand that works perfectly with the under-display fingerprint sensor without losing clarity? What are your top recommendations for keeping both screens safe?

Yo, I totally get the nerves! That massive screen is basically a magnet for scratches... honestly, I was terrified when I first got mine. For your situation, I would suggest going the budget route cuz you can replace them more often if they start peeling without breaking the bank.

TL;DR: Use tempered glass for the outer screen and high-quality TPU for the inner. Look for multipacks to save cash!

So yeah, for the outer display, I highkey recommend staying with glass. I've been super happy with the Spigen Glas.tR EZ Fit for Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold. It usually runs about $18 for a two-pack, which isnt bad for the peace of mind. The alignment tool makes it reallyyy easy to install, so no weird bubbles. I havent had any issues with the fingerprint sensor either, tho I did have to toggle the "screen protector mode" in settings to keep it snappy.

For the inner screen, your gonna want to be way more careful. I wouldn't touch glass there cuz of the folding mechanism. I picked up the IMBZBK 3 Pack Screen Protector for Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold off Amazon for like $12. It comes with the TPU film for the inside and even some camera lens protectors too. It's basically the best value I've found. A bit of advice tho—be realy patient with the inner film. If you rush it, it's gonna lift at the hinge... I mean, that's what happened to my last phone and it was a mess.

Anyway, what kind of case are you planning to pair it with? Some cases can push on the edges of the protector if they're too bulky. gl!

Respectfully, I'd consider another option than just going for the cheapest multi-packs. I totally get the logic of replacing them often, but honestly, low-quality adhesive is usually the main reason they peel in the first place. If youre dropping nearly 2k on a phone, you want something that actually sticks and keeps the clarity high without looking blurry.

1. For the outer display: You can totally use tempered glass! I’d look at the Whitestone Dome Glass Screen Protector for Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold. It uses a UV liquid adhesive that is basically the gold standard for under-display sensors... it fills in microscopic gaps so the fingerprint reader works perfect.
2. For the inner screen: Id suggest something premium like dbrand Prism Flex for Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold instead of cheap TPU. It's way more durable and wont lift at the edges as easily cuz the material is higher quality.

It costs more upfront, but i think the peace of mind is worth it. gl! 👍

Totally agree with the above! Going budget is the play because those inner screen protectors *will* eventually fail. Ok so, big warning though: seriously avoid using tempered glass on the inner folding screen. I've seen people try it and it literally destroys the hinge or cracks the panel cuz there's zero clearance when it's closed. Honestly, it's just not worth the risk... i mean, just dont do it lol.

A few tips to save cash:
- Stick to TPU films for the inner screen; they handle the fold way better.
- Buy multi-packs from brands like Ibywind or LK so you have spares.
- Only use glass for the outer display.

Just make sure the outer glass is 'case-friendly' or it'll pop right off once you snap a case on. gl!

  • I totally agree. Quality adhesive is the secret sauce for foldables. I've been through so many cheap ones that just peel after a week and it's honestly such a headache. I'm super satisfied with the Ringke Dual Easy Film Screen Protector for that inner screen. It has this unique installation method that grabs dust as you apply it, which is huge for a screen that size. For the outside, the dbrand Tempered Glass for Pixel 10 Pro Fold is my top pick. It has these really nice rounded edges so your thumb doesn't catch when you're swiping back, and it works well with the sensor. If you want more info, check out some of the stress test videos on YouTube. I basically live on the r/PixelFold subreddit too... there are tons of real-world photos there of how these look after a month of use. It's a great resource if you're still on the fence about the hinge clearance.
