What are the best fast chargers for Google Pixel 9 Pro XL?

I just treated myself to the new Google Pixel 9 Pro XL, and while I’m absolutely loving the screen and camera, I’ve realized my old charging setup really isn't cutting it. Since Google doesn't include a power brick in the box anymore, I’ve been using an old 18W charger from my previous phone, but it feels like it takes a lifetime to charge this massive 5,060mAh battery.

I know the 9 Pro XL is supposed to support much faster charging—up to 37W—but I'm a bit confused by all the different specs out there. I've read that you specifically need a charger with PPS (Programmable Power Supply) to actually hit those top speeds, but many of the bricks I see on Amazon don't clearly state if they are fully compatible with Google’s specific fast-charging tech.

I’m looking for something reliable that won't overheat the phone. Should I just bite the bullet and get the official Google 45W USB-C charger, or are there third-party brands like Anker or Ugreen that offer better value or extra ports? Also, do I need a specific 5A cable to actually reach that 37W peak, or will the one in the box suffice?

For those of you already rocking the Pixel 9 Pro XL, what chargers are you using to get the fastest possible juice?

Sooo just sharing my experience here cuz I was literally in the same boat last week. I'm super cautious about heat—safety first, right?—so I spent way too long comparing the Google 45W USB-C Power Adapter against the Ugreen Nexode 45W Dual USB C GaN Charger. Basically, the Google one is the ultimate 'safe' play, while the Ugreen is way more versatile. Wait, actually, I found the Google brick stays way cooler during that 37W peak. I was honestly worried about third-party safety, so I stuck with the official one for peace of mind... totally worth it imo. Quick tip: Make sure your cable is 5A rated—standard 3A ones might cap ur speeds regardless of the brick! TBH, I'm using the Google USB-C to USB-C Cable (1m) now and it feels SO solid. Gl with the new phone!

Respectfully, I'd suggest a different approach because I spent ages testing PPS bricks for my own 9 Pro XL! - You might want to consider the Anker 735 Charger (GaNPrime 65W) with a Ugreen 100W USB C to USB C Cable for peak PPS speeds. Lesson learned: make sure to get GaN tech since it's basically better and cheaper than official bricks, tbh.
