Hey everyone! I’m planning on picking up the Google Pixel 10 as soon as it drops, and I want to be fully prepared with a solid setup from day one. I’ve been a long-time Pixel fan, but with the rumors about the new Tensor G5 chip and the potential design shifts, I’m wondering if my old charging bricks and cables are even going to cut it anymore.
I’m particularly focused on finding a high-quality case that doesn’t hide the phone’s aesthetic but still offers military-grade drop protection. I tend to be a bit clumsy, so a screen protector that plays nice with the ultrasonic fingerprint sensor is a huge priority for me—I’ve had issues in the past where tempered glass made the scanner super laggy.
Also, since Google has been pushing their ecosystem so hard lately, I’m curious if there are specific 'must-have' accessories that really unlock the phone’s potential. I’m thinking about things like specific 45W PPS chargers for the fastest possible speeds, or maybe a MagSafe-compatible ring or case so I can use some of my existing magnetic car mounts and wallets. I’m also looking for a decent pair of USB-C to 3.5mm adapters or even suggestions for the best-integrated wireless buds if the old ones aren't a good match anymore.
I have a budget of around $150 to get everything sorted. I’ve been browsing a few brands, but it’s hard to tell what’s actually essential versus what’s just marketing fluff. For those of you who stay ahead of the curve on Pixel releases, what are the absolute essential accessories I should be pre-ordering alongside the Pixel 10 to ensure I have the best experience right out of the box?

Oh man, I totally feel you on wanting to be ready for the Pixel 10 launch!! I've been a Pixel die-hard since the first one, and honestly, being cautious about the accessories is the smart move, especially with that new Tensor G5 chip. In my experience, you don't actually need to spend a fortune to get a pro-level setup tho.
Since you're clumsy (same lol), I highkey recommend staying away from those cheap $10 cases. For my last few phones, I've stuck with the Spigen Liquid Air Case for Google Pixel because it's super slim but literally saves the phone from nasty drops. If you want that military-grade protection without hiding the design, look at the Spigen Ultra Hybrid Case for Google Pixel. It's clear and usually runs under $20 on Amazon, right?
For the screen, seriously, don't risk a generic glass. I've had the best luck with the Whitestone Dome Glass Screen Protector 2-Pack for ultrasonic sensors. It's a bit of a process to install, but it's basically the only way to keep the scanner fast. For charging, you definitely need a PPS-compatible brick. I'd grab the Anker 713 Charger Nano II 45W—it's super tiny, reliable, and way cheaper than the official Google one at around $30.
If you want MagSafe, just get a ESR HaloLock Universal MagSafe Ring 360 for like $12 and stick it on the back of your Spigen case. It works like a charm with car mounts!! yo! Honestly, for the Pixel 10, safety is literally the biggest thing if you want that G5 chip to last. I mean, i think Mous Super Thin Magnetic Case is amazing because it's super protective but *actually* lets you use MagSafe gear without being bulky! Plus, for the screen, i guess the amFilm OneTouch Tempered Glass Screen Protector is a fantastic budget pick that basically wont mess with the ultrasonic sensor. For power, ngl you gotta get the Anker 711 Charger Nano II 45W cuz it's so tiny and safe for fast charging. gl with the new phone!!

This^ Also wanted to add that you gotta be careful with legacy bricks. I learned the hard way with my current setup that if the PPS handshaking isn't precise, you risk thermal throttling. Honestly, I only use chargers that explicitly support the latest standards now. I also tried a cheap film protector once—total mistake. Basically, for ultrasonic sensors, if it’s not perfectly compatible, it’s gonna be laggy. Stay safe! 👍
