I just upgraded to the Google Pixel 10 Pro XL and realized my old power bricks from a few years ago aren't cutting it. I want to take full advantage of the fastest charging speeds possible without damaging the battery long-term. I've heard that these newer Pixels really need a specific PPS enabled charger to hit those peak wattages correctly.
I am looking for something reliable but hopefully a bit more compact than the official Google 45W brick for when I am traveling. Are there any specific Anker or Ugreen models that you have tested that definitely trigger the charging rapidly notification consistently? Also, does the included cable handle the max speed, or should I buy a higher-rated one? Any recommendations for a solid setup would be great!
I would suggest being careful with off-brands. I'm kinda new to this and got scared when a cheap one overheated... it was actually scary! I finally tried the Anker 313 Charger Ace 45W USB C PPS for about $20. It handles PPS safely and stays cool. Is the inbox cable enough? I think so! Lesson learned: you dont have to spend much for safety.
Ok so, the Pixel 10 Pro XL relies on PPS to manage thermals by adjusting voltage in real-time. Basically, it keeps the battery cool while pulling max power. I’ve been realy satisfied with the Anker 713 Charger Nano II 45W for travel. It’s tiny and triggers rapid charging consistently. Also, the Ugreen Nexode 45W Dual USB C GaN Charger works well too. You dont need a new cable since the stock one handles 45W fine. gl!
Great info, saved!
Basically, PPS tech manages heat by communicating with ur phone. In my experience, my cheaper compact setup:
Inbox cable is fine too!!
