Which screen protectors are you guys actually using for the Pixel 10 Pro Fold because I am about to lose my mind over here. I finally saved up enough to grab this thing at the Google Store on 14th street last week and honestly I am so hyped about the hardware but the screen protector situation is a total nightmare. I've already blown like sixty bucks on three different sets from Amazon and every single one of them is garbage.
The first one I got was some tempered glass for the outer screen and it didnt even reach the edges so there was this nasty gap that caught all the lint from my jeans. Then I tried those TPU film ones for the inner screen because I was terrified of scratching it while multitasking during my commute but they keep bubbling right at the crease every time I fold the phone. It is so frustrating because I love this phone so much and the display is gorgeous but seeing those air bubbles every time I open it just ruins the whole experience for me. Im genuinely fed up with these cheap brands that claim they fit perfectly when they clearly dont.
I really need something that stays put. I use my phone for literally everything from editing spreadsheets on the train to watching shows while I wait for my laundry and I cant deal with a protector that starts peeling off after two days. Does anyone have a specific brand that doesnt lift at the corners or have that weird rainbow effect on the glass? Budget isnt really an issue at this point since I already wasted so much money on the bad ones I just want something that works and wont peel off when I put my case on. Is there like a dbrand one or something official from Google that actually stays stuck? Im so tired of re-applying these things and getting dust under the film it makes me want to just go caseless but I know I'll regret that the second I drop it on the sidewalk. Let me know what you guys found that actually sticks...
Jumping in here because I had issues with those cheap kits too. Unfortunately, most TPU films are just not as good as expected for the constant folding. For the outer display, I've found Whitestone Dome Glass EA Tempered Glass for Pixel 10 Pro Fold to be way more reliable and case-friendly. TL;DR: Try ZAGG InvisibleShield Glass Elite for Pixel 10 Pro Fold for the outer screen; it actually stays put.
Man, I totally get the frustration. Ive been through the same headache with basically every foldable Ive owned since the first gen. I learned early on that spending more doesnt mean itll actually stay on. Im currently really satisfied with the Spigen Glas.tR EZ Fit Tempered Glass for Pixel 10 Pro Fold on my outer display. It was super cheap for a two-pack and the alignment frame makes it almost impossible to mess up. No gaps or lint traps for me, fits like a glove. As for the inner screen, I actually grabbed a budget Supershieldz High Definition Clear Shield TPU 3-Pack for Pixel 10 Pro Fold off a whim. I was worried itd be junk but it has been perfect. The key I found over the years is to apply it at night and leave the phone open flat for like 8 hours while you sleep. No bubbling at the crease at all. Works well and saved me enough for a nice dinner instead of wasting more on overpriced glass.
Quickly jumping in. In my experience, I've tried dozens of these and just go with dbrand Glass. They're super reliable and won't lift, which is the exact safety you need.
@Reply #2 - good point! I'm really satisfied with my setup after checking the hinge tolerances against my case. It was worth the higher price tho. What case are you using?
