I recently installed the iOS 18 beta on my iPhone, but I'm experiencing some serious bugs and performance issues. I want to revert to the stable iOS 17, but here's the catch – I don't have access to a computer right now.

Is there any way to remove the iOS 18 beta and downgrade to iOS 17 directly from my iPhone? I've heard conflicting information about whether this is possible without iTunes or a Mac.

If anyone has successfully done this or knows a reliable method, I'd greatly appreciate your step-by-step guidance. Thanks in advance for your help!

Removing iOS 18/17 Beta without a computer is possible, and I'll outline the steps for you based on your iOS version.

For iPhones running iOS 16.4 or later:

  1. Go to Settings > General > Software Update
  2. Tap "Beta Updates"
  3. Tap "Off" to remove the iOS beta

For iPhones running iOS 16.3.1 or earlier:

  1. Go to Settings > General > VPN & Device Management
  2. Tap the iOS & iPadOS Beta Software Profile
  3. Tap "Remove Profile"

Important notes:

  • If you installed the beta using a computer, you'll need to use a computer to remove it.
  • Always back up your data before making changes to your iOS version.
  • Backups made while using beta versions may not be compatible with earlier iOS versions.
