Hey everyone! I just upgraded to the Motorola Razr Ultra (2025), and I’m struggling to find a car mount that actually works well with its unique foldable design. Since it’s quite tall when unfolded but pretty thick when closed, my old universal clamp mount keeps pressing against the volume buttons or feels unstable near the hinge. I’m really looking for something that won't block the external display while I'm using navigation. Has anyone found a mount that fits the Razr’s dimensions perfectly, maybe something with MagSafe-style magnets or a specialized grip? I'd love to hear your recommendations—does anyone have a specific brand or model that securely holds the 2025 Razr Ultra without stressing the screen?

Ok so, for your situation, I really think you gotta be careful with those generic side-clamping mounts. I've seen way too many people stress the hinge on their foldables by using mounts that aren't designed for the extra thickness when closed, or they end up accidentally triggering the emergency SOS because the clamp sits right on the buttons... honestly it's a total mess. Tbh, I've been using foldables for years and the hinge is the most sensitive part, so you really dont wanna take risks there. In my experience, you should definitely look into a magnetic setup. I personally used the Spigen Mag Fit Magnetic Ring Adapter on a slim case for my Razr, and then paired it with the LISEN Magnetic Car Mount MagSafe Compatible. This combo is highkey a lifesaver cuz it keeps the external display totally clear for your navigation and you dont have to mess with any mechanical arms that might squeeze the screen or the hinge too hard. It literally feels more secure than any clamp I've tried. Plus, it makes it so much easier to grab your phone when you're getting out of the car. If you arent into magnets, maybe consider the iOttie Easy One Touch 6 Dashboard & Windshield Mount. It has adjustable feet so you can offset the phone higher, which usually keeps the side arms away from those sensitive volume buttons. But yeah, just be super cautious about the pressure. I'd lowkey suggest avoiding vent mounts too, since the 2025 Razr is kinda heavy and might snap a plastic slat if you hit a pothole. (At least thats what happened to me once, lol). Better safe than sorry. Good luck!

For ur situation, I’ve highkey been through the same struggle with older foldables and honestly, I would suggest going magnetic to avoid side clamps entirely. Basically, you have two main options: a generic dash holder vs. a dedicated MagSafe-style mount. In my experience, something like the Loncaster Silicone Car Phone Holder is okay cuz it wont squeeze the buttons, but it lowkey blocks that external display. On the other hand, if you grab the ESR MagSafe Car Mount with CryoBoost and stick a magnetic ring on ur case, it’s a total game-changer. You get full access to the screen and the hinge isn't being stressed (at least that's what worked for me). Ngl, the magnet setup is just way more secure for what ur dealing with. It's definitely the best choice to keep that 2025 Razr Ultra safe!! 👍

Similar situation here - I tried a cheap gravity mount first, but it felt so flimsy with the Razr’s weight. I ended up with a Baseus Gravity Car Phone Mount Air Vent Holder cuz the arms sit lower and don't hit the buttons. Honestly, I think the physics of gravity mounts work better for the Razr’s odd center of gravity than standard side clamps... plus it was only like 15 bucks! Just gotta be careful with the vent clip.

Totally with the guys saying go magnetic. After owning every Razr since 2019, I've seen way too many people mess up their hinges or scratch the frame using those cheap plastic claws. You might want to consider a more custom setup because these foldables are just too quirky for universal gear. I would suggest checking out these directions instead:

  • Go with ProClip for a custom dash base
  • Just get any magnetic head from Scosche
  • Look into a heavy-duty adhesive mount Whatever you pick, make sure to test the placement before sticking anything down for good. If you're using it unfolded, the weight distribution is weird and might snap a cheap vent clip. Honestly, just be careful with the heat too... if the sun hits the back of the phone through the windshield, those magnets can get pretty toasty and you dont want that near the battery.
