I’m so excited to finally upgrade to the new Motorola Razr+ (2025), but I’m worried about keeping that external screen safe! Since it's a foldable, I'm looking for something that offers solid hinge protection without being too bulky. Has anyone found a case that fits perfectly and doesn't interfere with the wireless charging? Which brands are you all using to protect yours?

Seconding the recommendation above! Cresee is solid for the price, but over the years I've found that spending a bit more on a technical brand pays off. I've tried many foldables and hinge protection is literally everything. Honestly, I'm currently using the Motorola+Razr+Plus+2025&linkCode=osi&------123456890?5422-20" target="_blank" rel="nofollow sponsored">Spigen Tough Armor Pro Designed for Motorola Razr Plus 2025 and it's basically the gold standard. It’s got this foam tech inside that absorbs shock and the hinge cover is super smooth. Also, check out the Motorola+Razr%2B+2025&linkCode=osi&------123456890?5422-20" target="_blank" rel="nofollow sponsored">Poetic Spartan Series for Motorola Razr+ 2025 if you want something with a built-in kickstand. Both work perfectly with my wireless charger, which was a huge relief! Good luck!!

For your situation, i actually think you can get away with spending way less without sacrificing the technical specs you need for that hinge... seriously, i've tried many foldables over the years and the markup on "name brands" is kinda wild sometimes.

I just saw this thread and wanted to jump in cuz im also a bit of a budget geek! NGL, i was super nervous about the external screen too but found that Motorola+Razr+Plus+2025+Case+with+Hinge+Protection&linkCode=osi&------123456890?5422-20" target="_blank" rel="nofollow sponsored">Foluu for Motorola Razr Plus 2025 Case with Hinge Protection is a total hidden gem. It’s basically a hard PC shell that doesn't feel like a brick in your pocket, and the hinge mechanism is surprisingly smooth for the price... i think it was like $15?

If you want something that feels a bit more "pro" but still keeps the cost down, i’d look at the Motorola+Razr+Plus+2025&linkCode=osi&------123456890?5422-20" target="_blank" rel="nofollow sponsored">VRS Design Terra Guard Modern for Motorola Razr Plus 2025. It’s got that ruggedized feel and the hinge cover actually snaps back perfectly so it wont interfere with your wireless charging pads. Honestly, wireless charging is the first thing to break with thick cases so you gotta be careful there!!

Also, a quick tip: whatever you buy, make sure it has those tiny adhesive strips inside the frame. Foldables tend to wiggle inside cases and that friction can actually scratch the finish over time, right? Just my two cents from being a total nerd about this stuff lol. gl with the new phone!!

Exactly what I was thinking

Ok so I totally get being nervous about that screen! Honestly, I've used foldables for years and I'm happy with how cheap but good the Motorola+Razr+Plus+2025&linkCode=osi&------123456890?5422-20" target="_blank" rel="nofollow sponsored">Cresee Case for Motorola Razr Plus 2025 is. It was only like $12 on sale, which is basically a steal. It has hinge protection and is super slim so wireless charging works well. I mean, it's pretty simple but it gets the job done without breaking the bank haha!

Honestly, I’m always SUPER paranoid about that outer glass getting scratched even with a good case. Tbh, I'm a bit of a DIY enthusiast when it comes to this stuff, so I usually prefer applying my own layers rather than paying for a professional service or trusting those cases with 'built-in' screen protectors that always seem to get dust underneath them. My tip is to grab a basic slim shell and then manually install an [[ArmorSuit MilitaryShield]] on the external display yourself. It’s a bit of a project to get it aligned perfectly without bubbles, and I’m always a little worried about the moisture during the install process, but the final fit feels way more secure than the pre-installed stuff. Anyway, just make sure you’re cleaning out the hinge area with some compressed air every few days—dust getting trapped in the folding mechanism is basically the biggest risk for these things regardless of what case you use.

Like someone mentioned, the dust getting under those built-in protectors is a total dealbreaker for me. Honestly, I think the big name-brand cases are way too chunky for a foldable. If you want to keep it slim but still safe, i suggest a more DIY approach. I'm currently using a Motorola+Razr+Plus+2025&linkCode=osi&------123456890?5422-20" target="_blank" rel="nofollow sponsored">Ringke Slim Case for Motorola Razr Plus 2025 and I added some Skinomi TechSkin Hinge Film myself. The film handles the scratches on the hinge when it's folded, and the Ringke case is thin enough that wireless charging is actually snappy. For the external glass, I went with a Motorola+Razr+Plus+2025&linkCode=osi&------123456890?5422-20" target="_blank" rel="nofollow sponsored">Supershieldz Tempered Glass for Motorola Razr Plus 2025. It's much clearer than the plastic ones built into cases and doesn't get that weird rainbow effect. It takes a few extra minutes to line everything up yourself, but the end result is way better than a $60 case that makes your phone feel like a brick. One thing to watch out for tho... some of the cheaper thin cases don't have enough of a lip to protect the camera lenses, but the Ringke one seems decent for everyday use.
