I finally pulled the trigger on the new Motorola Razr Plus (2024), and while it looks amazing, I am honestly a bit nervous about its durability. Since it is a foldable, I really want a case that offers decent hinge protection without adding too much bulk to the slim design. It is also important that the case does not interfere with the massive external display or the cameras.
I have been looking at a few options from brands like Spigen and some thinner carbon fiber ones, but I am struggling to decide. Have any of you found a case that provides great drop protection while still being pocket-friendly? What are the best protective cases you have come across so far?
Respectfully, I'd suggest a different approach... skip name brands for the Motorola+Razr+Plus+2024&linkCode=osi&------123456890?5422-20" target="_blank" rel="nofollow sponsored">Foluu Slim Case for Motorola Razr Plus 2024. It's way cheaper and actually amazing! TL;DR: Go budget.
> What are the best protective cases you have come across so far? Ok so I went through this exact same struggle last year. Honestly, it is such a headache finding that sweet spot between protection and bulk... unfortunately I learned the hard way that some hinge designs are basically useless. I had issues with several rugged cases where the hinge cover would actually grind against the external display over time. Not as good as expected at all!! Plus they cost like 60 bucks which is way too much for molded plastic imo. Technically, the 2024 model has a specific hinge radius that requires very precise clearance. If the case is even 0.5mm off, it creates tension on the internal display cable. I tried the Motorola+Razr+Plus+2024&linkCode=osi&------123456890?5422-20" target="_blank" rel="nofollow sponsored">VRS Design Terra Guard Modern for Motorola Razr Plus 2024 and while it covers the hinge, it made the phone feel like a brick in my pocket. Ngl, it was super disappointing. I also checked out the Motorola+Razr+Plus+2024&linkCode=osi&------123456890?5422-20" target="_blank" rel="nofollow sponsored">Caseology Parallax for Motorola Razr Plus 2024 but the adhesive strips were weak and it kept shifting, which is a huge risk for debris getting trapped underneath ur screen. It is basically a constant battle between long-term frame scratches or risking a drop... mood. gl!
Hey, I stumbled upon this discussion today and I totally feel ur pain lol. I went through this last year with my previous foldable and honestly... it was a disaster - because I tried to go too slim - and I dropped it once and the hinge just DIED. Now that I have the new Razr Plus, I am highkey being extra cautious because screens are so pricey to fix. I basically spent a week researching for something that wouldnt fail me. So yeah, here is what I found:
yo, congrats on the new phone!! I've been using foldables since the first gen, so I highkey get the durability anxiety. Honestly, you gotta be careful because some hinge covers actually scratch the phone over time... I mean, it's a delicate balance. Based on my experience, I would suggest these:
