Hey everyone! I recently picked up the new Moto G Stylus (2025), and I’m absolutely loving the upgraded screen and performance so far. However, I’ve already managed to misplace the original stylus that comes tucked into the bottom of the phone. I must have dropped it while taking notes at a coffee shop, and now I’m stuck using my fingers, which just isn't the same for precision tasks.

I’m looking for a high-quality replacement that fits perfectly into the built-in silo. I’ve seen some cheap knock-offs online, but I’m worried about the tip quality scratching the screen or the build being too flimsy to stay locked in the port. Does anyone know if the 2024 model pens are cross-compatible, or should I stick strictly to an OEM replacement from Motorola? I'm also curious if there are any third-party options that offer a better grip or more pressure sensitivity for sketching.

Has anyone else had to replace theirs yet? I’d love to find something reliable under $30 if possible. What is the best replacement stylus you've found that actually fits the 2025 model without getting stuck?

Story time: I actually went through this last year with an older model and honestly... it was a nightmare. I bought a cheap generic pen and it literally felt like I was dragging a nail across my screen. It didn't even click into the silo right! I'm super cautious now cuz I almost ruined my digitizer. Tbh, I'd strictly stick with the Motorola+Moto+G+Stylus+5G+%282025%29+Replacement+Stylus&linkCode=osi&------123456890?5422-20" target="_blank" rel="nofollow sponsored">Motorola Moto G Stylus 5G (2025) Replacement Stylus from the official site. It's just safer for the screen imo!! gl!

Quick question - are you looking for a stylus that literally just writes, or do you actually need it to have the same palm rejection as the original?

I honestly had a bad time with cheap ones from eBay... the tips were like hard plastic and scratched my screen protector, and unfortunately, the 2024 ones are a weird fit. Honestly, if you want to save cash, maybe just grab the Motorola+Moto+G+Stylus+5G+%282025%29+Replacement+Pen&linkCode=osi&------123456890?5422-20" target="_blank" rel="nofollow sponsored">Motorola Moto G Stylus 5G (2025) Replacement Pen from a legit parts seller. It's usually under $25 and actually locks in place so you dont lose it again haha. lmk about the palm rejection thing tho cuz that changes things!! peace

yo, so i actually had a similar nightmare when i first got my moto stylus! i was at a park and somehow the pen just vanished out of the silo... literally the worst feeling cuz i use it for everything. honestly i was super nervous about buying some random cheapo version cuz i heard stories about the tips snapping off or the thing getting jammed in the phone, which would basically ruin the whole point of having the built-in slot.

anyway, for your situation, i would suggest sticking with something from motorola+directly+if+you+can&linkCode=osi&------123456890?5422-20" target="_blank" rel="nofollow sponsored">motorola directly if you can find it. from what i've gathered being a bit of a newbie with these newer models, the 2024 and 2025 versions look pretty much identical in size, but i think? the actual sensor tech inside might be slightly tweaked for the newer screen. i ended up just getting a generic replacement from a brand on amazon that looked reputable, and it works... okay? it's decent but lowkey doesn't feel as smooth as the original one did.

i've noticed that most third-party options don't really do the whole pressure sensitivity thing for sketching very well, they're more like basic capacitive tips. if you want that high-quality feel, just get an official one from the manufacturer's site or a big box retailer. it's probably the only way to be 100% sure it wont get stuck or scratch ur screen. plus, the peace of mind is worth the extra few bucks imo. good luck finding one!!

Oh man, I totally feel u on this. I actually lost mine a few weeks after getting my phone too!! Basically, I tried a bunch of cheap ones from random sites but they were honestly trash... the tips felt scratchy and one almost got stuck in the port which was lowkey terrifying.

So here's the deal: based on my experience, the older models from previous years are slightly different in length and the latching mechanism is tweaked, so they wont sit flush. If u want that perfect 'click' and precision, just go with Motorola. Honestly, you cant go wrong with the official brand for these silo-style phones. It's the only way to ensure the digitizer reads the pressure sensitivity correctly for sketching. I tried a third-party 'universal' one and it was basically just a glorified finger lol. Tbh, just stick to Motorola and get an OEM part. It's worth the extra few bucks to not ruin ur screen or get a pen stuck forever. Good luck!
