Best car mounts for the OnePlus Ace 5?

Hey everyone! I just picked up the new OnePlus Ace 5 and I’m absolutely loving the display and speed so far. However, I’ve run into a bit of a snag—my old universal car mount definitely isn't cutting it anymore. The Ace 5 feels a bit sleeker and slightly heavier than my last phone, and I’m worried about it slipping out or the mount vibrating too much while I’m using navigation on the highway.

I’m looking for something that is super secure but also easy to pop the phone in and out of. Since the Ace 5 has those specific volume and power button placements, I want to make sure I get a mount that doesn't accidentally squeeze them or block the charging port. I’ve been looking at both magnetic mounts and the traditional gravity-style ones, but I’m not sure which style holds up better for this specific model's dimensions and weight distribution.

Has anyone found a specific brand or model that works perfectly with the Ace 5? I’d prefer something that can attach firmly to the dashboard or the air vents without being too bulky. What are you guys using to keep your Ace 5 steady while driving?

Sooo for the Ace 5's weight, safety is key! I'm a total specs nerd and honestly, you need a mount with a reinforced mechanical lock so it doesnt slip. I’d recommend:

* iOttie Easy One Touch 6 Dashboard & Windshield Mount - Its telescopic arm is fantastic for vibration damping!!
* LISEN Magnetic Phone Holder for Car [Military Grade Steel Hook] - Uses a triangular fix point for max stability.

Neither will block your ports or hit those side buttons. Stay safe!!

TL;DR: Stick with Spigen for build quality or maybe Baseus for value, you cant go wrong with either for a heavy phone. I reallyyy agree with the points about the weight distribution—stability is everything with a phone this big. I've been doing some market research lately and comparing brands because I was in the same boat. Basically, if you look at Spigen vs Baseus, you're usually paying a bit more for Spigen but there gear feels way more solid for these heavier OnePlus models. Baseus has some cool designs and they're cheaper, but I'm not sure if they hold up as well over time? Tbh just get any of the mechanical ones from Spigen and you're good. Their plastic just feels higher grade than the cheapo brands, which helps with the vibration you mentioned. Just make sure whatever you get has a wide enough grip so it doesn't squeeze the buttons, maybe?

For your situation, grab the UGREEN Gravity Car Phone Holder Air Vent Clip. Its cheap and uses the weight to lock in, just make sure to check ur vent clips. seriously the BEST value imo.

Totally agree that stability is everything with a phone this big. I've been using heavy devices for years and tbh, the biggest issue long-term isn't just the initial grip, it's the vibration fatigue on the mount components over months of driving. If you're planning on keeping the Ace 5 for a while, you gotta look at something with a mechanical screw-tightened vent clip rather than just a basic spring-loaded one. I've had a lot of luck with these for heavier units:

  • VANMASS Universal Car Phone Mount
  • Vicseed Ultra Stable Car Phone Holder The Vanmass mount is basically a tank and the side arms are positioned high enough that they miss the Ace 5 volume rocker entirely. Plus, it has a deeper bottom tray so your charging cable doesn't get bent at a weird angle, which is a big deal since those red OnePlus fast charging cables are usually thicker than standard ones. If you go magnetic, just make sure the plate is centered slightly lower to account for the camera bump weight distribution so it doesn't rotate while you're hitting bumps. Just my two cents after testing a bunch of these setups!
