Best fast charging bricks for OnePlus Nord 4?

Hey everyone! I just recently picked up the new OnePlus Nord 4, and I'm absolutely loving the sleek metal build and performance so far. However, I’ve realized that I really need an extra charging brick to keep at my office so I’m not constantly lugging the original one back and forth from home.

Since the Nord 4 supports that incredibly fast 100W SUPERVOOC charging for its 5,500mAh battery, I want to make sure I’m buying something that can actually hit those peak speeds. I looked at the official OnePlus dual-port 100W adapter, but it’s a bit expensive and currently out of stock in my region. Has anyone tried third-party alternatives from brands like Anker or Ugreen? I’m specifically worried about whether they can actually trigger the 'Ultra Fast Charging' protocol or if they just default to much slower Power Delivery (PD) speeds.

I’m also curious if using an older 65W or 80W Warp/SuperVOOC brick from a previous model is a viable long-term solution, or if I’m missing out on a lot by not having the full 100W. I really want to take advantage of the 0-100% in under 30 minutes claim! What charging setups are you guys using for your Nord 4, and are there any specific models you’d recommend that stay cool while charging?

In my experience, SUPERVOOC is super picky cuz it’s a proprietary protocol. Basically, standard USB-PD bricks won’t hit that 100W peak on a Nord 4. Honestly, just grab the OPPO+100W+SuperVOOC+Dual+Port+Power+Adapter&linkCode=osi&------123456890?5422-20" target="_blank" rel="nofollow sponsored">OPPO 100W SuperVOOC Dual Port Power Adapter or even an older OnePlus+80W+SUPERVOOC+Power+Adapter&linkCode=osi&------123456890?5422-20" target="_blank" rel="nofollow sponsored">OnePlus 80W SUPERVOOC Power Adapter. They use the exact same tech! Even a 65W brick is fantastic and stays really cool while still being plenty fast for a quick office top-up. gl!

Sooo, I actually fried a battery once using a random brick and it was a total nightmare. Honestly, safety is EVERYTHING with that huge Nord 4 battery! Here's what I've learned over the years: 1. Stick to the official OnePlus+100W+SUPERVOOC+Power+Adapter&linkCode=osi&------123456890?5422-20" target="_blank" rel="nofollow sponsored">OnePlus 100W SUPERVOOC Power Adapter (already mentioned, but seriouslyyy it's the safest).
2. Try the Realme 80W SuperDart Charge Brick if you're stuck. Lesson learned: dont risk your phone for cheap third-party stuff that isnt certified. gl!

So in my experience, I actually had this problem too! I tried a high-end brick from *Anker* but it wouldn't trigger the Ultra Fast charging at all. Kinda disappointing tbh. I think you should:
* Stick with official OnePlus gear
* Maybe try Oppo chargers Basically, third-party stuff usually defaults to slow PD speeds. Idk why it's so complicated but just get any official one from those brands and ur good. gl!

Seconding the recommendation above! Like they said, standard PD bricks just wont cut it. I'm currently using an older OnePlus+Warp+Charge+65W+Wall+Charger&linkCode=osi&------123456890?5422-20" target="_blank" rel="nofollow sponsored">OnePlus Warp Charge 65W Wall Charger for my office setup and it's fantastic. It’s way cheaper than the 100W brick and stays SO cool!! It's slightly slower, but still hits 100% really fast. Totally worth it for the price. Just make sure to use the official cable tho... dont risk it!!

Saw this earlier and honestly it just got me fired up because the state of charging tech is so frustrating lately. I have been using these phones for years and it feels like the proprietary wall is just getting higher and more expensive. Its such a scam that we are forced into these ecosystems just to get the speeds we were promised on the box.

  • Paying a premium for a brick that only works at max speed with one specific brand.
  • High-end universal gear being throttled to a crawl because of software locks.
  • Companies acting like they are doing us a favor while making everything more complicated. I had such a bad experience recently trying to use a top-tier universal power station and watching my phone take two hours to charge because the protocols didnt shake hands correctly. Honestly its ridiculous that we are still dealing with this in 2024. Just feels like a massive cash grab at this point and it really ruins the experience of getting a new device.
