Just picked up the OnePlus 12R, but finding a solid tempered glass protector for that curved screen is tough. I’m worried about edge lifting or issues with the fingerprint scanner. Are there any specific brands that are case-friendly and easy to install without bubbles? What are you guys using to keep your display safe?

In my experience, curved screens are scary!! i'd be careful, but OnePlus+12R&linkCode=osi&------123456890?5422-20" target="_blank" rel="nofollow sponsored">Ibywind Tempered Glass for OnePlus 12R works fantastic with the scanner. basically no bubbles, so safe! gl

I'd actually suggest a different approach - I've been dealing with curved screens for many years, basically since the first Samsung Edge, but I've had some disappointing results with glass. I used to spend over $40 on those fancy UV kits, but unfortunately, I always had issues with the edges lifting after a month. Not as good as expected...

Respectfully, I'd consider a budget alternative. I'm still kinda learning about the 12R specifically, but I switched to the OnePlus+12R+High+Definition+Clear+Shield+%28TPU%29&linkCode=osi&------123456890?5422-20" target="_blank" rel="nofollow sponsored">Supershieldz (2 Pack) for OnePlus 12R High Definition Clear Shield (TPU). It is only about $9, which is much better for the wallet. It's basically invisible and the fingerprint scanner remains super fast. Do you guys think the glass actually feels better tho?

My lesson learned after years of data is that cheap TPU films are often more reliable than fighting with expensive glass bubbles. It's a solid way to save money while keeping the display safe. gl!

Ok so for curved screens, OnePlus+12R&linkCode=osi&------123456890?5422-20" target="_blank" rel="nofollow sponsored">Mowei 3-Pack UV Glass Screen Protector for OnePlus 12R is the technical win. UV glue keeps the scanner fast and avoids lifting. Honestly, basically perfect if youre careful!

Honestly, I stopped paying "pros" at the mall kiosks to do this ages ago cuz they usually rush the alignment. I'm a total DIY enthusiast now when it comes to LOCA (Liquid Optical Clear Adhesive) kits. It’s basically the industry standard for curved glass if u want to keep the fingerprint sensor snappy. I just finished an install with the OnePlus+12R&linkCode=osi&------123456890?5422-20" target="_blank" rel="nofollow sponsored">SmartDevil UV Tempered Glass for OnePlus 12R and it looks factory. Anyway, my journey with these curved panels taught me that environment is everything. I always do my installs in the bathroom after running a hot shower for a few minutes—the humidity basically knocks the dust out of the air so u get a flawless finish. **Quick Tips:**
- Use Kapton tape to mask ur earpiece and side buttons before pouring any resin to prevent gunking up the internals.
- Use a bubble level app to make sure ur table is 100% flat, otherwise, the adhesive will migrate to one side before u can cure it with the UV light.

To add to the point above: DIY kits are definitely the play for curved glass. I usually go for <a href=" https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_nkw=Akcoo+UV+Liquid+Tempered+Glass+for+ OnePlus+12R&_sacat=0&_from=R40&_trksid=p4624852.m570.l1311&mkcid=1&mkrid=711-53200-19255-0&siteid=0&campid=5337998953&customid=22&toolid=10001&mkevt=1" target="_blank" rel="nofollow sponsored">Akcoo UV Liquid Tempered Glass for OnePlus 12R because its budget-friendly but still gives that factory-look finish. The LOCA stuff is intimidating at first but it basically fills in any micro-scratches and stays put way better than the cheap sticky-edge protectors. Main thing is just being patient with the curing process. Dont rush the UV light step or the edges might peel later on. Tbh, as long as you level your table before starting so the glue doesnt slide off, youll be fine. It keeps the screen looking sharp and the fingerprint scanner actually works, which is the biggest win imo.
