Hey everyone! I just finally pulled the trigger and pre-ordered the OnePlus 13, and I am beyond excited to get my hands on it. However, I am also a bit of a klutz, and the thought of carrying this beautiful device around without any protection is already giving me major anxiety. I really want to make sure I have everything ready to go as soon as the box arrives.

I am looking for a balance between solid protection and something that does not make the phone feel like a literal brick in my pocket. I have used Spigen in the past, but I am curious if there are other brands that handle the OnePlus 13 camera island and screen curves better this year. Also, I am particularly worried about the screen protector. Since this model uses an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, I have heard some tempered glass options can be a bit finicky or might slow down the recognition speed.

Does anyone have experience with the official OnePlus cases versus third-party ones like Ringke or Caseology? I am also wondering if a flexible film protector is actually better than glass for this specific screen.

What are the best protective cases and screen protectors you have found so far that offer great coverage without ruining the sleek look of the phone?

Honestly, Ive been through this sooo many times. For REAL safety without the brick feel, heres my take:

  • OnePlus+13&linkCode=osi&------123456890?5422-20" target="_blank" rel="nofollow sponsored">dbrand Grip Case for OnePlus 13 vs OnePlus+13+Sandstone+Bumper+Case&linkCode=osi&------123456890?5422-20" target="_blank" rel="nofollow sponsored">Official OnePlus 13 Sandstone Bumper Case
  • Grip is way safer for drops, but Sandstone is thinner and sleeker.
  • OnePlus+13&linkCode=osi&------123456890?5422-20" target="_blank" rel="nofollow sponsored">Whitestone Dome Glass Screen Protector for OnePlus 13
  • It uses UV glue so it actually works with the sensor. The Grip case is my top choice, saved my last three phones!! gl!

Similar situation here

  • I literally just went through this whole internal debate cuz I'm also super clumsy but hate spending like 50 bucks on a piece of plastic. Last year I spent a fortune on the official brand cases and honestly... they werent any better than the stuff I found for half the price. Basically, my journey led me to realize that for these curved screens and ultrasonic sensors, film is the way to go if you wanna save your sanity. I tried a thick tempered glass one once and it drove me NUTS because the fingerprint sensor only worked half the time. Now I just look for value packs. I saw the previous mention of Ibywind which is a solid budget choice, but I've also been looking at the OnePlus+13&linkCode=osi&------123456890?5422-20" target="_blank" rel="nofollow sponsored">Supershieldz High Definition Clear Shield (PET) Screen Protector for OnePlus 13 since you get a bunch for like 10 dollars. If you mess up the install, you just grab another one! For cases, I want protection without the brick feel. I used to be a Spigen fan too, but lately, I think the OnePlus+13&linkCode=osi&------123456890?5422-20" target="_blank" rel="nofollow sponsored">Caseology Athlex for OnePlus 13 is a better deal. It has this really nice sand-like texture that makes it hard to drop in the first place, which is a big win for people like us lol. Another solid budget pick is the OnePlus+13&linkCode=osi&------123456890?5422-20" target="_blank" rel="nofollow sponsored">Ringke Onyx Case for OnePlus 13 which is usually way cheaper than the official ones but still has those reinforced corners. So yeah, you might want to consider avoiding the glass and expensive official gear? You can probably protect the whole thing for under 25 bucks if you shop smart. Just make sure to re-register your fingerprints after the film is on!! gl!

Late to the thread but seconding the recommendation above. > Ultrasonic sensors are picky about glass thickness This^ Also, technically, those sensors use sound waves, so thick glass creates air gaps that hinder recognition. It works better with film. If you wanna save cash, grab the OnePlus+13+Flexible+TPU+Film&linkCode=osi&------123456890?5422-20" target="_blank" rel="nofollow sponsored">Ibywind Screen Protector for OnePlus 13 Flexible TPU Film. Its usually $12.99 for a 2-pack. For cases, the OnePlus+13&linkCode=osi&------123456890?5422-20" target="_blank" rel="nofollow sponsored">Ringke Fusion Clear Case for OnePlus 13 is a GREAT budget alternative that stays slim. gl!

Ultrasonic sensors are picky about glass thickness. Over the years, I would suggest getting a film protector and any case from Spigen, theyre GREAT and realy reliable for protection. gl!
