Hey everyone! I just finally pulled the trigger and pre-ordered the OnePlus 13, and I am beyond excited to get my hands on it. However, I am also a bit of a klutz, and the thought of carrying this beautiful device around without any protection is already giving me major anxiety. I really want to make sure I have everything ready to go as soon as the box arrives.
I am looking for a balance between solid protection and something that does not make the phone feel like a literal brick in my pocket. I have used Spigen in the past, but I am curious if there are other brands that handle the OnePlus 13 camera island and screen curves better this year. Also, I am particularly worried about the screen protector. Since this model uses an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, I have heard some tempered glass options can be a bit finicky or might slow down the recognition speed.
Does anyone have experience with the official OnePlus cases versus third-party ones like Ringke or Caseology? I am also wondering if a flexible film protector is actually better than glass for this specific screen.
What are the best protective cases and screen protectors you have found so far that offer great coverage without ruining the sleek look of the phone?
Honestly, Ive been through this sooo many times. For REAL safety without the brick feel, heres my take:

Late to the thread but seconding the recommendation above. > Ultrasonic sensors are picky about glass thickness This^ Also, technically, those sensors use sound waves, so thick glass creates air gaps that hinder recognition. It works better with film. Man I wish I found this thread sooner. Would have saved me so much hassle.
Ultrasonic sensors are picky about glass thickness. Over the years, I would suggest getting a film protector and any case from Spigen, theyre GREAT and realy reliable for protection. gl!
