I just pre-ordered the OnePlus 13 and want to keep that massive camera module safe! I'm looking for a balance between serious drop protection and a slim profile. Does anyone have recommendations for rugged cases that aren't too bulky, or maybe something with MagSafe compatibility? What are you guys using to protect yours?
Sooo I've been digging into this too because I'm definitely a bit paranoid about that giant glass lens. I've had great luck with OnePlus+13&linkCode=osi&------123456890?5422-20" target="_blank" rel="nofollow sponsored">Ringke Fusion-X for OnePlus 13 on my last few phones and it hits that sweet spot of being rugged without looking like a tank. It has these *really* nice raised edges for the camera that actually give me some peace of mind.
If you're looking for MagSafe specifically, you should probably check out the OnePlus+13&linkCode=osi&------123456890?5422-20" target="_blank" rel="nofollow sponsored">Nillkin Super Frosted Shield Pro Magnetic Case for OnePlus 13. I'm honestly so satisfied with their magnetic strength; it holds my car mount perfectly and doesn't feel cheap at all. I would just be cautious with some of the ultra-slim aramid fibers though—they look cool but basically offer zero drop protection for the screen. Ngl, I've seen too many cracked displays from 'slim' cases lol. Stick with something that has reinforced corners like the Ringke and you'll be golden. It's worked well for me so far! gl!
Dude, honestly, after cracking my old screen on a curb, I've become obsessed with drop-test specs. For a solid budget pick, I’d grab the OnePlus+13&linkCode=osi&------123456890?5422-20" target="_blank" rel="nofollow sponsored">TUDIA DualShield Grip for OnePlus 13. It's super grippy and dual-layer for like $20. If you need something beefier, the OnePlus+13&linkCode=osi&------123456890?5422-20" target="_blank" rel="nofollow sponsored">Poetic Revolution Series Case for OnePlus 13 is AMAZING for total coverage. Basically, dont skimp on the corners because that camera module is heavy, right? gl!

Huh interesting. I had no idea. The more you know I guess 🤷

Unfortunately, Spigen had fit issues lately... maybe just stay cautious? gl!
@Reply #2 - good point! That camera bump is definitely the most vulnerable part of the whole assembly. While I like the DIY ring idea mentioned earlier, I kinda disagree with that approach for a high-performance device like this. Sticking stuff on thin shells usually compromises the thermal dissipation during heavy tasks and messes with the structural balance. Ive been extremely satisfied just sticking with Dbrand. You basically cant go wrong with their stuff because:
Tbh I’ve been obsessing over the technical dimensions of that camera bump and I’m a bit worried about how much glass is exposed. Since I’m still kind of new to the modding scene, I’ve been looking into a more DIY approach to keep it slim. Instead of those heavy duty cases, what about getting a minimal clear shell and applying a Sinjimoru Universal MagSafe Ring to the back yourself? It gives you that magnetic snap without the extra weight of a rugged frame. Also, has anyone looked into the OnePlus+13&linkCode=osi&------123456890?5422-20" target="_blank" rel="nofollow sponsored">VRS Design Terra Guard Modern for OnePlus 13? The specs show some REALY high impact resistance for the camera area. I’m wondering if it’s better to just DIY a lens protector setup though... basically, does a thick case actually protect the internal sensors more than just a thin shell? I'm definately leaning towards a thin profile plus some high-quality tempered glass for the lens module specifically. Does anyone know if the magnets mess with the OIS in the camera?
