I just got my hands on the new OnePlus 13 and I am absolutely loving it so far! However, I am a bit nervous about the large camera bump and that beautiful display getting scratched up. I usually go for something slim like a Sandstone case, but this time I am looking for something more rugged that offers solid drop protection without making the phone feel like a brick.

I have been looking at brands like Spigen and OtterBox, but I am not sure which ones have the best fit for the new alert slider and buttons. Does anyone have experience with cases that offer good screen lip protection for the curved edges? Also, are there any reliable options with magnetic back support for accessories?

What are your top recommendations for a durable but stylish case for the OnePlus 13?

For your situation, I would suggest the OnePlus+13&linkCode=osi&------123456890?5422-20" target="_blank" rel="nofollow sponsored">Spigen Tough Armor for OnePlus 13. In my experience, Spigen always nails the alert slider cutout perfectly. It uses an impact foam layer for drops but doesnt feel like a total brick in ur pocket. Plus, it's usually around twenty bucks, so it's super cost-effective. If you need magnets, check the OnePlus+13&linkCode=osi&------123456890?5422-20" target="_blank" rel="nofollow sponsored">Spigen Magnetic Ultra Hybrid for OnePlus 13. Just be careful with those curved edges tho... right?

Hmm, I've had a different experience regarding long-term device safety. Respectfully, I'd consider another option instead of those generic slim magnetic cases because they often fail to protect the most vulnerable parts of the phone. If your worried about that massive camera glass and the curved display, basically you need something with verified structural reinforcement.

  • Choose a case with a rigid polycarbonate internal frame. Pure TPU cases eventually sag around the alert slider cutout, which is a huge safety risk for the frame and buttons.
  • Focus on raised top and bottom lips (aim for 1.2mm). High side rails on curved screens actually make swiping a total nightmare and dont offer much more protection during face-down drops anyway.
  • Ensure the magnets are N52 grade so your accessories dont fly off if you hit a bump. I'd suggest looking at the OnePlus+13&linkCode=osi&------123456890?5422-20" target="_blank" rel="nofollow sponsored">UAG Monarch Series Carbon Fiber for OnePlus 13. Its super rugged but lowkey quite slim in the hand. Another solid bet is the OnePlus+13&linkCode=osi&------123456890?5422-20" target="_blank" rel="nofollow sponsored">Dbrand Grip Case for OnePlus 13 because the fit is literally the tightest in the industry. Hope this helps!

So, I went through this last year. Honestly, I've had issues with many rugged cases not leaving enough room for the alert slider, which is basically a dealbreaker. Unfortunately, even big brands often fail the curved screen lip test...

  • Verify N52 magnet strength for accessories.
  • Aim for 1.2mm raised corner lips. The OnePlus+13&linkCode=osi&------123456890?5422-20" target="_blank" rel="nofollow sponsored">TUDIA DualShield Grip Case for OnePlus 13 and OnePlus+13&linkCode=osi&------123456890?5422-20" target="_blank" rel="nofollow sponsored">Poetic Guardian Case for OnePlus 13 werent as good as expected.

Respectfully, I'd consider another option. I'd actually suggest going with a cheaper, slimmer magnetic case instead of the bulky name brands because I've had a pretty disappointing experience with those big rugged cases lately, especially with these newer curved screens.

  • Honestly, I used to swear by the expensive brands, but my last rugged setup was a total letdown. I paid almost 50 bucks and the alert slider was basically impossible to reach without using a fingernail. It was sooo frustrating... it felt like they just reused a template from a different phone and didnt actually test it properly for the OnePlus+dimensions&linkCode=osi&------123456890?5422-20" target="_blank" rel="nofollow sponsored">OnePlus dimensions.
  • Also, for the OnePlus+13&linkCode=osi&------123456890?5422-20" target="_blank" rel="nofollow sponsored">OnePlus 13, I found that the heavy brick-style cases actually make it harder to use the gestures on those curved edges. My current setup is a much thinner, budget-friendly magnetic case I got online for like 15 dollars. It has those 1.2mm raised corner lips, and it feels way better in my hand without all the added weight while still protecting the glass.
  • Regarding the magnets, u gotta be careful. I tried one of those high-end ones previously and the magnetic ring was so weak my wallet kept falling off. The cheaper one I am using now actually has way stronger N52 magnets, which is wild considering the price difference. It literally sticks to my car mount better than the expensive ones ever did.
  • Basically, dont feel like u have to drop a ton of cash to get real protection. I've dropped mine twice already on tile and the cheap one held up perfectly fine. Save ur money for some extra chargers or something! So yeah, I'd say skip the bulky stuff and look for the slim-profile ones with reinforced corners. They usually offer better value and actually fit the alert slider better anyway. GL!
