I recently picked up the OnePlus Ace 5 and the performance is absolutely insane for mobile gaming! However, I’m finding that touch controls just don't do justice to high-action games like Genshin Impact or CoD Mobile. I’m looking for a high-quality controller that fits the Ace 5's dimensions well—ideally something with pass-through charging and minimal input lag. I’ve been eyeing the Razer Kishi V2 and the Backbone One, but I’m worried about whether the phone's camera bump affects the fit. Does anyone have hands-on experience with these, or perhaps a solid Bluetooth alternative that doesn't have noticeable latency? What are the top gaming controllers you'd recommend to really take advantage of this phone's power?
> I’ve been eyeing the Razer Kishi V2 and the Backbone One, but I’m worried about whether the phone's camera bump affects the fit. Ok so, I've literally spent years obsessing over mobile setups cuz touch controls are basically the worst lol. In my experience, the Ace 5 is a total beast but that camera bump is highkey a pain for most bridges. I tried the Backbone One Mobile Gaming Controller for Android (USB-C) and ngl, it's a tight squeeze. You'll probably have to pop the rubber inserts out just to get it to sit flush. If you want the best fit, I'd suggest the Razer Kishi V2 for Android. Because it uses a flat extendable bridge, it clears the Ace 5's camera housing way more naturally. Plus, those microswitch buttons feel SO snappy and there's zero lag. Actually, if you want something even better, check out the GameSir G8 Galileo Wired Mobile Controller. It has Hall Effect sticks (zero drift!) and the pass-through charging is actually fast enough to keep up with heavy gaming. I've used it for months and it's the most comfortable for long CoD sessions. Lesson learned? Always check the bridge depth before buying, or you're gonna end up scratching ur lens!! Cheers.
Stumbled upon this today. Curious about one thing: are you using a case? Most controllers use HID protocols to reduce latency, which is crucial for CoD. - GameSir X2 Pro-Xbox Mobile Gaming Controller: High-quality direct-input with pass-through charging.
- Turtle Beach Atom Mobile Game Controller: Split design that handles large camera housings easily. USB-C is probably better for lag, but the Atom might be safer for the Ace 5.
Exactly what I was thinking
Curious about one thing: whats your budget? unfortunately ive had safety issues with cheap clones... basically fried my port. maybe check out the 8BitDo SN30 Pro Bluetooth Controller for $45? ngl its safer.
TIL! Thanks for sharing
