Which fast chargers and cables work best for the OnePlus Open?

Hey everyone, I just finally made the jump to the OnePlus Open, and man, this screen is incredible! However, I’m running into a bit of a dilemma with the charging situation. Since it uses the proprietary SuperVOOC technology to hit those 67W speeds, I'm a bit worried about using my old USB-C bricks from my previous Pixel or Samsung devices. The cable that comes in the box is great, but it's a bit too short for my bedside setup, and I’d love to find a 6ft or 10ft alternative that doesn't drop the charging speed to a crawl. I’ve looked into some Anker and Ugreen options, but I'm getting conflicting info on whether they actually support the full fast-charging protocol or just standard Power Delivery (PD). Has anyone found a specific third-party brick or a high-quality long cable that consistently triggers the 'Ultra Fast Charging' animation? Or are we pretty much tethered to the official OnePlus store if we want the best performance? I really want to avoid spending 3 hours on a charger because I used the wrong plug. What are you guys currently using for your office or travel setups that actually keeps up with the Open's battery?

Story time: I went through this exact same headache last year when I got my Open. Quick reply while I have a sec... honestly, it's kinda frustrating how these proprietary standards work... or dont work. I initially tried using my Satechi 165W USB-C GaN Charger thinking it could handle anything, but unfortunately, it just defaulted to standard PD speeds, which felt like forever to charge such a big battery. I was realy disappointed because I wanted one brick for everything. Basically, the technical issue is that SuperVOOC uses a specific communication protocol between the brick and the phone's battery controller that standard PD 3.0 or even PPS chargers often cant handshake with properly. I even tried a Ugreen Nexode 100W USB C Wall Charger and it still wouldnt trigger the "Ultra Fast Charging" animation. It's all about those extra proprietary pins inside the connector that standard cables just lack. For the cable, I experimented with a few "high speed" ones that ended up being total duds for VOOC. The one that finally worked for my bedside was the Essager 7A USB-C Super Fast Charge Cable 2M which actually hit the high amperage needed. Quick tip: Look for cables specifically mentioning "7A" or "10A" support and the VOOC protocol. Standard 100W PD cables usually only support 5A, which isnt enough to trigger the full 67W speed on OnePlus+hardware&linkCode=osi&------123456890?5422-20" target="_blank" rel="nofollow sponsored">OnePlus hardware.

I would suggest being really cautious with 3rd party stuff. SuperVOOC is *picky* and you dont want to fry anything. - Just get basically any official gear from **Oppo** or **Realme**. It's the same tech and usually cheaper.
- Look for long cables explicitly rated for high amperage (like 6A or higher).
- Honestly, stick to those sibling brands for safety. Better than risking that expensive screen with cheap generic junk!! gl

In my experience, i've tried many cables that did nothinggg over the years lol. ok so ur best bet for the budget is: - Avoalre 6.6ft 10A SuperVOOC Cable for like $13... it actually triggers the animation!!
- a used OnePlus+80W+SUPERVOOC+Power+Adapter&linkCode=osi&------123456890?5422-20" target="_blank" rel="nofollow sponsored">OnePlus 80W SUPERVOOC Power Adapter on ebay to save money. basically if it isnt vooc rated, its gonna be slow af. idk maybe check the reviews first?
