Hey everyone! I’m getting my OnePlus 13 delivered soon, and I’m honestly a bit stressed about keeping it in pristine condition from day one. This phone is a big investment, and while I love the sleek look, I’m notorious for accidentally dropping my devices. I’ve been looking at a few options, but I’m torn between sticking with the official OnePlus sandstone cases or going for something more rugged like a Spigen or dbrand.

The real challenge for me is finding a screen protector that actually works well with the new micro-quad-curved display. I’ve had bad experiences in the past with tempered glass peeling up at the corners or causing issues with the ultrasonic fingerprint sensor. I really want something that feels smooth to the touch but offers solid scratch protection. I’m also looking for a case that has a decent lip to protect that massive camera array on the back without making the phone feel like a brick in my pocket.

What are you guys planning to use or already using for your setup? Are there any specific brands you've found that provide the best fit for the OnePlus 13's unique screen shape without interfering with a case?

Just sharing my experience: I've been researching this all day cuz I'm literally so paranoid about that glass. I'm kinda nervous but here's my plan:

* OnePlus+13&linkCode=osi&------123456890?5422-20" target="_blank" rel="nofollow sponsored">Ringke Fusion-X Case for OnePlus 13
* OnePlus+13&linkCode=osi&------123456890?5422-20" target="_blank" rel="nofollow sponsored">amFilm Elastic Skin TPU Film Screen Protector for OnePlus 13

I'm going with TPU film cuz thick glass might mess with the ultrasonic sensor tech... honestly just wanna be extra careful!! make sure to follow the install videos exactly. gl

I went through this last year with a different curved display and honestly, it’s a total nightmare finding the "perfect" fit. I’ve spent way too much time looking at glass thickness specs and TPU shore hardness lol. In my experience, most standard TGSPs fail because the ultrasonic sensor needs a super-thin LOCA layer to function without lag. I’ve literally had to peel off three different protectors before finding one that didn't mess with my thumbprints.

Here’s what my journey led me to for the OP13 setup:

* OnePlus+13&linkCode=osi&------123456890?5422-20" target="_blank" rel="nofollow sponsored">Supcase Unicorn Beetle PRO for OnePlus 13 - I’m looking at this because it’s a literal tank for drops and has a reinforced camera frame.
* OnePlus+13&linkCode=osi&------123456890?5422-20" target="_blank" rel="nofollow sponsored">Mowei UV Glass Screen Protector for OnePlus 13 - These UV kits are technically superior to the cheap film ones because the liquid adhesive fills those micro-curves perfectly without air gaps.
* OnePlus+13&linkCode=osi&------123456890?5422-20" target="_blank" rel="nofollow sponsored">Poetic Revolution Case for OnePlus 13 - This is my backup if I want that heavy-duty 360 protection with a built-in kickstand.

But yeah, basically ur looking for a case with a raised lip around that massive camera module—at least 2mm is my rule of thumb for safety. It makes the phone slightly thicker, but seriously, the peace of mind is worth it. gl!

I totally agree with the point about UV kits being the only real way to get that premium glass feel without the edges lifting. Ive been using these curved screens since the OP7 Pro days and honestly, standard adhesive just doesnt hold up for long-term ownership. Since the OP13 has that ultrasonic sensor, you really have to be careful with the acoustic impedance of the glue layer. If its too thick or has tiny air bubbles, your fingerprint sensor is basically toast. Heres a few alternatives I am looking at for my long-term setup that havent been mentioned yet:

  • OnePlus+13&linkCode=osi&------123456890?5422-20" target="_blank" rel="nofollow sponsored">Nillkin CamShield Pro Case for OnePlus 13
  • This is great because it has the physical sliding cover for that massive camera array. Its way less bulky than a full rugged case but keeps those lenses pristine from pocket sand and keys.
  • Mocolo UV Liquid Tempered Glass
  • I have used these on my last two phones and they are way more affordable than the big names while providing the same LOCA bonding that handles those micro-curves perfectly.
  • OnePlus+Aramid+Fiber+Bumper+Case&linkCode=osi&------123456890?5422-20" target="_blank" rel="nofollow sponsored">Official OnePlus Aramid Fiber Bumper Case
  • If you want that sleek look but need real scratch protection, aramid fiber is the way to go. Its super light and basically doesnt stretch out or yellow over time like TPU does. Just make sure you cover the earpiece and buttons with tape before you start the UV process or youll have a messy surprise lol. Its a bit of a learning curve but so worth it for the clarity.

Similar situation here - I've been rocking OnePlus+phones+for+years+and&linkCode=osi&------123456890?5422-20" target="_blank" rel="nofollow sponsored">OnePlus phones for years and ngl, ur better off going for value. Expensive glass often peels on curves anyway. I basically always use the OnePlus+13&linkCode=osi&------123456890?5422-20" target="_blank" rel="nofollow sponsored">IBYWIND Screen Protector for OnePlus 13 cuz the alignment tool makes it dummy-proof. Plus, the OnePlus+13&linkCode=osi&------123456890?5422-20" target="_blank" rel="nofollow sponsored">Caseology Athlex for OnePlus 13 gives that "sandstone" vibe but with way more drop protection for half the price of rugged brands. It just works, you know?

Stumbled upon this discussion while researching the same thing. Honestly, the anxiety is real. I’m usually the guy who insists on doing everything myself because I’ve seen too many "pros" at those mall kiosks mess up the alignment on curved glass. But man, the OnePlus 13's new screen shape is making me second-guess my skills a bit. Like, I’m definitely going the DIY route but I’m being super cautious. Basically, I’ve found that using a UV liquid kit is the only way to get that glass-like feel without the edges peeling, though I’m still worried about the sensor. I'm looking at the Mowei UV Glass Screen Protector since it has worked for me on other weirdly curved displays. Quick tip: If you're doing a DIY install, do it in the bathroom after a hot shower. The steam kills the dust in the air so you dont get those annoying tiny bubbles. Also, I’m probably grabbing the Nillkin CamShield Pro Case because I’m paranoid about scratching that massive camera lens. It’s better to have a physical cover than just a raised lip, ya know?

I've spent way too much time testing how different materials affect ultrasonic sensor latency. In my experience with these micro-quad curves, traditional tempered glass adds roughly 0.3mm of thickness which usually increases the rejection rate of the fingerprint scanner unless the LOCA glue is perfectly uniform. For long-term ownership, I actually moved away from glass and started using high-quality self-healing films like the <a href=" https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_nkw=GadgetShieldz+ScreenGuard+for+ OnePlus+13&_sacat=0&_from=R40&_trksid=p4624852.m570.l1311&mkcid=1&mkrid=711-53200-19255-0&siteid=0&campid=5337998953&customid=22&toolid=10001&mkevt=1" target="_blank" rel="nofollow sponsored">GadgetShieldz ScreenGuard for OnePlus 13. They dont have the impact resistance of glass, but they never lift at the edges and the acoustic impedance is way lower, so the sensor works every time. On the case side, I stopped using those massive rugged shells because they trap heat during fast charging which isnt great for long-term battery health. I shifted to using Aramid fiber or specialized hybrid cases. The <a href=" https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_nkw=Latercase+Cyber+Edition+for+ OnePlus+13&_sacat=0&_from=R40&_trksid=p4624852.m570.l1311&mkcid=1&mkrid=711-53200-19255-0&siteid=0&campid=5337998953&customid=22&toolid=10001&mkevt=1" target="_blank" rel="nofollow sponsored">Latercase Cyber Edition for OnePlus 13 is my go-to for a technical fit since it provides structural rigidity without the bulk. If youre worried about drops, the <a href=" https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_nkw=Mous+Limitless+5.0+for+ OnePlus+13&_sacat=0&_from=R40&_trksid=p4624852.m570.l1311&mkcid=1&mkrid=711-53200-19255-0&siteid=0&campid=5337998953&customid=22&toolid=10001&mkevt=1" target="_blank" rel="nofollow sponsored">Mous Limitless 5.0 for OnePlus 13 is a decent middle ground. It uses that AiroShock material to handle impacts but keeps a slimmer profile than most rugged brands. Basically comes down to whether you prioritize drop physics or thermal management.

I suggest being *extra* careful with that curved glass. I use the OnePlus+13&linkCode=osi&------123456890?5422-20" target="_blank" rel="nofollow sponsored">Spigen Tough Armor Case for OnePlus 13 and Whitestone Dome Glass Screen Protector for maximum safety. Honestly, dont risk it... gl
