Hey everyone! I just picked up the OnePlus 12 and I'm absolutely loving it, but I’m really nervous about scratching that gorgeous curved display. I’ve had bad luck in the past with tempered glass lifting at the edges on curved screens, and I want to avoid that headache this time. I'm specifically looking for something that is case-friendly and won't interfere with the fingerprint sensor's responsiveness. Are you guys having better luck with the UV glue glass kits or should I just stick with a high-quality TPU film? I'd love to hear which specific brands are actually fitting perfectly without any bubbling or peeling. What are you guys using to keep your screens mint?

yo! honestly, i feel u on being nervous about that curved screen. i literally ruined my last phone trying to install a cheap glass protector... it just popped right off cuz of the curves and it was a total waste of money lol. for my oneplus 12, i decided to stay cautious since im still kinda a beginner at this stuff and didn't want to mess up the display. i guess the uv glue ones are the best for protection, but they're scaring me with the messy glue! for your situation, here's what i suggest:
- OnePlus+12+TPU+Film&linkCode=osi&------123456890?5422-20" target="_blank" rel="nofollow sponsored">Ibywind Screen Protector for OnePlus 12 TPU Film - this is what i actually use. it's basically a flexible film so it wont lift at the edges, and the fingerprint sensor works perfect. plus it comes with a guide tool.
- OnePlus+12+Screen+Protector+UV+Gen&linkCode=osi&------123456890?5422-20" target="_blank" rel="nofollow sponsored">Whitestone Dome Glass OnePlus 12 Screen Protector UV Gen - if u really want tempered glass, this is the safest bet, but maybe ask a pro to help install it so u dont get glue everywhere? basically, i learned that sticking with a high-quality TPU film is way safer and less stressful if youre worried about headaches like i am. good luck!!

Curious about one thing: what case are ur planning to pair it with?? Before I give a final recommendation, I gotta know because some "case-friendly" protectors still catch on the lips of bulkier cases like the OnePlus+12&linkCode=osi&------123456890?5422-20" target="_blank" rel="nofollow sponsored">Spigen Tough Armor for OnePlus 12. Adding my two cents as someone who's super obsessed with display specs... I've actually had a pretty rough time with some generic UV kits lately. Unfortunately, I had issues with the adhesive curing unevenly on my last curved device, which basically ruined the fingerprint sensor's optical speed. Honestly, it was not as good as expected for the price. If ur looking for technical precision, here’s what I’ve been testing: * OnePlus+12&linkCode=osi&------123456890?5422-20" target="_blank" rel="nofollow sponsored">SmartDevil UV Tempered Glass for OnePlus 12: This one has better glue viscosity than the cheap stuff. It literally fills the micro-gaps on the curve better so it wont lift as easily.
* OnePlus+12&linkCode=osi&------123456890?5422-20" target="_blank" rel="nofollow sponsored">Rhinoshield Impact Protector for OnePlus 12: If you wanna avoid the UV glue mess, this hybrid film is technically impressive. It’s got high impact resistance but it's thinner than glass, so the sensor stays snappy. Let me know about the case tho! peace

tl;dr: for your situation, uv glue is technically best for optical sensors but risky... i think tpu's safer cuz i've unfortunately had issues with glue damaging hardware before basically idk

Hey! Saw this earlier but just getting a chance to reply. Honestly, I'm sooo nervous about my screen too, like literally terrified of that first scratch!! Since you want to avoid the lifting edges, I highkey recommend looking at TPU films instead of glass if youre worried about the install. Here's what I've been looking at for a budget-friendly fix:
- OnePlus+12&linkCode=osi&------123456890?5422-20" target="_blank" rel="nofollow sponsored">Ringke Dual Easy Film for OnePlus 12: This is AMAZING for beginners because the install method is so easy and literally clears dust as you go. It's super thin so the fingerprint sensor works perfectly!
- OnePlus+12&linkCode=osi&------123456890?5422-20" target="_blank" rel="nofollow sponsored">Supershieldz Clear TPU Film 3-Pack for OnePlus 12: These are basic but super cheap. Great if you want extras in case you mess up the first try. Honestly, I'd go with the Ringke. It feels a bit more premium and wont peel as easily as the super cheap stuff. Just be really patient... I was shaking the whole time doing mine lol! Good luck keepin' it mint!! peace
