Hey everyone! I just finally made the jump and upgraded to the OnePlus 12 in that stunning Flowy Emerald finish. The phone itself is an absolute beast—the display and the charging speeds are honestly mind-blowing—but I’ve hit a bit of a crossroads when it comes to the audio side of things.

I’ve been using a pair of aging Sony buds for the last three years, and the battery life is starting to tank. Since I’m now fully in the OnePlus ecosystem, I really want to find a pair of wireless earbuds that can actually take advantage of what this phone offers. I know the OnePlus 12 supports high-res codecs like LHDC 5.0 and has some pretty cool spatial audio features, so I’d hate to buy something that bottlenecks the sound quality.

I’ve been looking closely at the OnePlus Buds Pro 2 since they are designed for this hardware, but I’m also curious if third-party options like the Bose QuietComfort Ultras or even the latest Jabra models play nice with OxygenOS. My main concerns are seamless connectivity and low latency. I do a fair bit of mobile gaming and watch a lot of YouTube, so any audio lag would be a total dealbreaker for me. I’m also a big fan of the 'Google Fast Pair' feature—I really love that instant pop-up when you open the case.

Budget-wise, I’m looking to stay under $250. I primarily listen to a mix of indie rock and lo-fi while working, so I’m looking for a balanced soundstage rather than something that just pumps out overwhelming bass.

For those of you who have been using the OnePlus 12 for a while now, which earbuds have given you the most stable experience? Do you think sticking with OnePlus-branded buds is necessary to get the best integration, or are there better-sounding alternatives that don't lose out on those specific OxygenOS features?

> I’ve been looking closely at the OnePlus Buds Pro 2 since they are designed for this hardware... For your situation, id compare the OnePlus+Buds+Pro+2&linkCode=osi&------123456890?5422-20" target="_blank" rel="nofollow sponsored">OnePlus Buds Pro 2 vs Bose QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds. im still learning but the op buds work great with the low latency you want. bose has better anc, but sticking with the same brand is safer... reallyyy dont wanna risk audio lag! the Jabra Elite 8 Active Gen 2 is cool too, but if your looking for simple, the op buds are a decent option. gl!

I went through this last year. Honestly, I was sooo worried about latency for gaming! I'm still learning about all the codec stuff, but I found OnePlus+Buds+Pro+2&linkCode=osi&------123456890?5422-20" target="_blank" rel="nofollow sponsored">OnePlus Buds Pro 2 handles LHDC 5.0 perfectly. Also, Sennheiser+Momentum+True+Wireless+4&linkCode=osi&------123456890?5422-20" target="_blank" rel="nofollow sponsored">Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless 4 is another amazing high-res option. Quick tip: use the 'Golden Sound' test in settings to tune the EQ for lo-fi. That's what worked for me anyway! gl!

hey, I'm super satisfied with the OnePlus+Buds+Pro+3&linkCode=osi&------123456890?5422-20" target="_blank" rel="nofollow sponsored">OnePlus Buds Pro 3. Sticking with first-party is basically the only way to GUARANTEE that low latency ur looking for without glitches. Third-party stuff can be risky with OxygenOS updates, tbh. You might find this useful—check out the "HeyMelody" app for managing other buds safely. It handles LHDC 5.0 perfectly and i dont get any lag. Works well, no complaints!

Exactly what I was thinking
