I just upgraded to the new Samsung Galaxy S24 FE and realized I’m missing a few essentials. Since the box doesn't include a wall plug anymore, I want to make sure I get a charger that actually hits that 25W fast charging speed without overheating. Are you guys using the official Samsung brick, or is there a better third-party option from Anker?

I'm also on the hunt for some solid wireless earbuds. I’d love something with good active noise cancellation for my daily commute, ideally under $120. Should I just stick with the Galaxy Buds FE for the ecosystem features, or is there a better alternative?

What specific chargers and earbuds are you all using for your S24 FE?

Respectfully, I'd actually suggest a different approach than just sticking to the official Samsung stuff. I used to be a purist too, but after my official brick started making a weird buzzing sound, I went down a technical rabbit hole for the S24 FE. Basically, the secret sauce is PPS (Programmable Power Supply) support. Without it, even a massive laptop charger might only charge ur phone at a snail's pace lol. I ended up testing a bunch of gear and here is what I recommend for real-world usage:

  • Anker 511 Charger Nano 3 30W USB C
  • This is way smaller than the Samsung brick and hits the 25W max speed perfectly cuz it has PPS. It's super efficient and honestly barely gets warm even when charging from zero.
  • Ugreen Nexode 30W GaN Wall Charger
  • This one is another solid pick. It uses GaN tech which basically means it's smaller and safer than older chargers. I've been using it for months without issues. As for the buds, the Galaxy Buds FE are decent, but if you're commuting, you might want something with more punch. I found the ecosystem features like auto-switching aren't that life-changing if you mostly just use ur phone.
  • Sony LinkBuds S Noise Canceling Earbuds
  • These are usually on sale for right around $120. The ANC is significantly better for blocking out train or bus engine noise compared to the Buds FE.
  • Jabra Elite 4 Active True Wireless Earbuds
  • If you want something rugged that stays put during a frantic commute, these are amazing and usually well under ur $120 budget. The lesson I learned is that going third-party usually gets you better tech for the same price. Just make sure the box specifically mentions PPS and you're good to go! gl with the new phone!!

In my experience, sticking to official gear is usually safer for the battery long-term.

  • Samsung 25W USB-C Wall Charger: Reliable, stays cool.
  • Anker 312 Charger Ace 2 25W: Good backup but gets kinda hot tbh.
  • Samsung Galaxy Buds FE: Best integration for ur phone.
  • Soundcore Liberty 4 NC: Better ANC for the commute noise ur dealing with. Just make sure to check the cable you're charging with.

Re: "> I want to make sure I get..."

  • I'm in the exact same boat right now. Been dealing with this for like three weeks since I got my S24 FE and it's honestly driving me crazy trying to find gear that isn't gonna degrade the battery or fail on ANC. I've been trying to do some deep dives into the technical side to figure it out myself:
  • Checking electrical engineering subreddits for ripple noise data.
  • Looking at UL certification logs for heat dissipation ratings.
  • Comparing independent frequency response graphs for budget audio gear. Even with all that research, I still haven't found a setup that feels 100% right. It's so frustrating that we have to do this much homework just to find reliable accessories that won't overheat or sound like tin... still looking for a solid answer myself.

Coming back to this an hour later... So basically the consensus is that while the official Samsung brick is the safest bet, the tech heads here are right about needing PPS support for the best results on the S24 FE. Honestly, I've tried many chargers over the years and safety is lowkey the most important thing cuz nobody wants a spicy pillow battery in a year. Heat is the absolute enemy of your phone. I wanted to throw a couple more options into the mix that havent been mentioned yet:

The Spigen is realy compact and uses GaN tech to stay cool, which is huge for battery longevity. The Belkin is a bit bulkier but they are known for insane reliability and strict safety testing. Both hit that 25W sweet spot perfectly without wierd buzzing sounds.

If you want better ANC than the Buds FE but dont wanna break the bank, the Sony LinkBuds S are incredible. I've used them on loud trains and they are spooky quiet. The Nothing Ear (a) is a great alternative if you want something that looks cool and has punchy bass for well under ur $120 limit. Tbh, if you care most about the ecosystem, stick with the Samsung buds, but if you want the best noise cancelling for a commute, those Sony ones are a tier above. Just make sure whatever brick you buy is from a reputable brand... saving five bucks on a generic charger isnt worth risking a new phone!! peace

> I want to make sure I get a charger that actually hits that 25W fast charging speed without overheating. Late to the party but I went through this exact process last month. I actually spent a week comparing a few different setups because I was worried about the same thing. I started with a generic block I found online, but the heat was kinda sketch during the first 30 minutes of charging. I eventually did a side-by-side comparison between the official manufacturer accessories and a high-end third-party power brand I've used for my laptop. The official brick was reliable, but the third-party one I got was much more compact and stayed just as cool. On the audio side, I tested some buds from a specialized audio company before switching back to the ones made by the phone's brand. The specialized ones had great sound, but I really missed the automatic switching features when I was jumping between my phone and tablet. My current setup is basically a hybrid now. I use the third-party brand for power because it fits better in my bag, but I stuck with the phone's native brand for the buds just for those ecosystem perks. It really comes down to whether you prefer pure hardware performance or that seamless software experience.
