Just picked up the new S24 FE and noticed it doesn't come with a brick. I'm looking for a charger that hits that 25W max speed reliably. Also, any earbud suggestions with good ANC that pair well with Samsung features? My budget is around $150 for both. What setup are you guys using?
sooo i got the S24 FE last month and the lack of a brick is honestly such a letdown. i initially tried a cheap charger from a gas station and it was total trash... literally took 3 hours to charge and got scary hot. lesson learned: dont cheap out on the PPS protocol. Here's what I recommend to stay under budget: • Samsung 25W USB-C Wall Charger (EP-TA800NBEGUS) vs Anker 312 Charger (Ace, 25W): The official brick is reliable, but the Anker is way smaller. Both hit that 25W 'Super Fast Charging' perfectly.
• Samsung Galaxy Buds FE Graphite vs Soundcore by Anker Liberty 4 NC: The Buds FE have the best Samsung ecosystem features, but the Soundcore actually has better battery life and ANC tbh. Basically, stick to reputable brands for the charger or youll regret it... gl!
I went through this last year. Ngl, I was super paranoid about heat issues with my new phone, so I tested a couple things: • Ugreen Nexode 30W USB C Charger: Much cooler than generic bricks, tho a bit pricier.
• Sony LinkBuds S: Better ANC than most budget pairs, iirc, but the fit is kinda small. Basically satisfied with how safe and stable it's all been! gl!!
For your situation, I’ve gotta start with a big warning... seriously, be careful with those random, ultra-cheap bricks you see on sketchy sites or at the gas station. I’ve been a tech nerd for over a decade now and I’ve seen way too many people literally fry their phone’s charging port or deal with weird battery swelling just to save like ten bucks... it’s actually kinda scary how hot some of those generic ones get!! Since you’re on the S24 FE, make sure whatever you buy explicitly mentions PPS (Programmable Power Supply) support. Honestly, if it doesn't have that specific tech, your phone won't hit the full 25W speed and you'll just be sitting there waiting hours for a charge... basically a total waste of money. I usually recommend sticking with established names like Belkin or Spigen for power stuff because they’re built way better and have actual safety certifications. As for the earbuds, if you're trying to keep the whole setup under $150, you might wanna look at some Jabra models. They’ve always been super reliable for me and the ANC is legit for the price point. Just a heads up though—be super wary of those "too good to be true" deals on eBay. I've been burned by fakes before and it’s a massive headache trying to get your money back. Stick to the big retailers and you’ll be golden. Anyway, hope that helps and good luck with the new phone!! Peace
Seconding the recommendation above. Honestly, the lack of a brick in the box is still sooo annoying... basically just a hidden cost for us. • Make sure any brick u buy has 'PPS' or it wont hit those 25W speeds, unfortunately.
• Try lookin for open-box deals on earbuds to save money cuz brand new ones are pricey lol.
