Late to the party but i wanted to share some technical stuff i found while digging through forums. Tbh i am still a bit of a beginner with all the drop test jargon but i have been looking at things like shore hardness and lip height lately. If you want something that isnt the usual big brands but still has the tech specs to back it up you might want to look at these:

  • Ringke Fusion-X
  • Poetic Revolution Series Case The Ringke one is neat because it has these reinforced bumpers that are specifically designed for corner impacts and it has these lanyard holes which is actually pretty practical if you are worried about dropping it. Afaik the Poetic case is also crazy for the price because it includes a full front frame which adds a lot of structural rigidity compared to just a snap-on shell. One thing i suggest is checking out the MobileReviewsEh channel on Youtube or looking at the drop test spreadsheets over on the S23 subreddit. They do a lot of the math on how many millimeters of protection you actually get. Ngl it makes the choice way easier when you see the actual measurements rather than just taking the brands word for it. Does anyone know if the thick corner bumpers on the Ringke interfere with wireless charging though? Thats the only thing i am unsure about.

I totally agree with the idea of checking the technical specs and watching those drop tests before pulling the trigger, honestly it makes a huge difference. I have been a Samsung user for years now and I have learned that the way a case handles impact is way more important than just how thick the plastic is - you know? I ended up going with the Mous Limitless 5.0 for my S23 Plus after doing a ton of research. It is a bit of a different vibe than the really bulky ones mentioned earlier but it definitely holds its own. Here is why I think it works:

  • It uses this material called AiroShock which basically acts like a tiny spring system to absorb the hit instead of passing it to the glass.
  • The build quality is super high
  • I went with the aramid fiber version and it feels like it could survive a tank.
  • It actually has decent screen protection because the edges are raised at the top and bottom but lower on the sides so you can still use gestures. I am not entirely sure about the exact technical specs on the g-force ratings or anything like that but I have fumbled my phone onto a tile floor twice and there is not even a scratch. It is kind of expensive compared to some others but basically you get what you pay for when it comes to long-term durability. Anyway hope that adds another good option to your list!

Do you already have a preference? That could influence the choice.

Jumping in here as I've been obsessing over drop test videos and community review threads lately haha. I'm still kind of a beginner when it comes to heavy-duty protection, but I love looking at the technical specs to see what actually works. Based on what I've seen people talking about online, there are two others that seem really popular for the S23 Plus that haven't been mentioned: 1. UAG Monarch Pro
- Pros: This one has five layers of protection and is apparently rated for a 25-foot drop! The kevlar material looks super high-tech and sturdy.
- Cons: It's really pricey tbh. I wonder if the magnet in the back actually plays nice with all wireless chargers? 2. Supcase Unicorn Beetle Pro
- Pros: A lot of reviewers call this the 'budget tank.' It comes with a built-in screen protector and even a kickstand which is pretty handy for watching stuff.
- Cons: It's basically a brick lol. It adds a ton of bulk to the phone. Honestly, I'm still trying to figure out if those crazy drop ratings are 100% legit or just marketing talk? I want something that won't fail if I drop it on concrete, but it's so hard to choose. Does the extra bulk always mean better safety?

Spigen Tough Armor Case is definitely the best choice for Samsung Galaxy S23 Plus. The durability is impressive The product includes all features you need.

Why this product? The quality convinces in all tests - both for protection and for functionality. Unbeatable for the price, can only recommend. Have already used it for several months, always satisfied. Also more than sufficient for demanding use.
