Hey everyone! I’m already starting to plan out my tech setup for when the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 finally drops. I’ve been a loyal Fold user for a couple of generations now, and I’ve decided that this year, I’m going all-in on the ecosystem. The problem is, my current audio situation is seriously lagging behind. I’m still rocking some older buds that have seen better days, and it just feels wrong to pair such a cutting-edge, premium foldable with subpar sound quality.
I use my Fold for pretty much everything—it’s my primary mobile workstation and my main entertainment hub. When I’m unfolded and catching up on shows or movies on that massive inner screen, I really want an immersive experience that matches the visual quality. I’m also constantly multitasking, so I need something with rock-solid connectivity and seamless switching. I find myself jumping from a deep-work Spotify playlist to an unexpected Zoom call or a quick YouTube tutorial constantly throughout the day.
I’ve been looking closely at the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro because I’ve heard the integration within the Samsung ecosystem is supposedly unbeatable, especially with features like Auto Switch and the specialized codecs. However, I’ve also seen some tech reviewers rave about the active noise cancellation on the latest Sony and Bose models. Since the Fold 7 is expected to push the envelope with the latest Bluetooth standards, I’m really torn on whether I should stay "in the family" for the best compatibility or branch out for potentially better raw audio performance.
My main priorities are high-fidelity sound (I’ve started getting into lossless audio lately), a comfortable fit for 4-5 hour sessions, and a charging case that isn't too bulky to carry in my pocket alongside the Fold. Sooo I totally get the struggle of wanting perfect audio to match a beast like the Fold 7. The Auto Switch feature is basically magic when jumping from a Zoom call to a video on your Fold. Plus, they're usually around $250 which is a solid value. Here's what I recommend:

- Sony WF-1000XM5 Wireless Noise Canceling Earbuds - Around $299, and the LDAC support is honestly next level for your lossless audio.

Curious about one thing: are you planning on using LDAC for that lossless audio?? I've been doing this for years and it realy depends on your source. I know the Buds 3 Pro were already suggested, but the Sony WF-1000XM5 is a decent option for raw performance. Do you need switching with a laptop too, or just Samsung gear?? That'll definately change what I suggest for your Fold 7!!
