My S21 is basically a paperweight now—the battery is shot and it takes forever to charge. I'm finally jumping to the S26, but the charger situation is a mess. I looked at the official Samsung 45W brick, but then I read some threads saying the Anker GaN chargers handle heat way better. I'm also seeing a lot of talk about PPS (Programmable Power Supply) being the only way to actually trigger the 'Super Fast Charging 2.0' speeds—but half the listings on Amazon are so vague about it. It's frustrating because I don't want to buy a 'fast' charger that only hits 25W. Does anyone have a specific model that's confirmed to hit the max S26 speeds? I almost forgot—it needs to be something with a decent length cable too, the 3ft ones are useless.
> Does anyone have a specific model that's confirmed to hit the max S26 speeds? ngl the Anker 313 45W GaN is the goat for budget setups. it hits max speeds and is WAY cheaper than samsung tbh... idk if sales are still live though.
Saw this and had to chime in because I wasted money on three different chargers before I figured out the Samsung 45W handshake requirements. Most people buy a 45W brick and wonder why they only see "Super Fast Charging" instead of "Super Fast Charging 2.0". The phone requires a very specific PPS profile that supports 5A current. If the charger or the cable is limited to 3A, you are capped at 25W regardless of the total wattage listed on the box. I have been using the Spigen ArcStation Pro 45W GaN for months. It is significantly smaller than the Samsung official brick and specifically lists the 4.05A PPS requirement for the 45W Samsung standard. It hits 0-70% in about 35 minutes on my testing. For the cable issue, you cannot use the one that comes in the phone box if you want a decent length. You need a 5A E-Marker cable. I picked up the Anker 543 USB-C to USB-C Cable (6ft 100W). It is braided and handles the 5A draw without overheating. Two quick tips for the S26:
Look, check the ChargerLAB database for real performance metrics. They do proper teardowns. Regarding what #1 said about "> Does anyone have a specific model that's..." - listen, just go with Anker or Ugreen. Any of their 45W PPS units will hit those speeds. I have used their gear in my shop for years to keep my tablets running. It is solid hardware. Just buy a longer cable from them too.
