Ive been rocking the S series since the S8 and usually I just grab a Spigen Liquid Air and call it a day but man this S26 Plus feels way wider than I expected. I just got mine delivered today here in Seattle and the clear TPU case I bought off Amazon is making it feel like a brick in my pocket. I need something super low profile because I commute on the light rail and hate having a huge bulge in my jeans lol. Budget is around 30 or 40 bucks max. Looking for something that actually has a bit of grip because these new finishes are slippery as hell. What are you guys using for a truly slim fit that still protects the camera bump?
Regarding what #2 said about "Been really satisfied with my ultra-thin setup lately,..."
ngl most generic clear cases are a total letdown and offer zero real drop protection. I had issues with the Spigen Thin Fit for Galaxy S26 Plus feeling way too flimsy lately... definitely not as reliable as expected. For your commute, check out the Ringke Onyx Slim Grip Case. Its super thin but has that sandpaper-like texture so it wont slip. Just double check the camera lip!
Regarding what #3 said about "Regarding what #2 said about "Been really satisfied with my ultra-thin setup lately..." - honestly, thinness is great for pocketability, but in my experience over the years, the real issue is how these slim profiles handle heat dissipation during a long commute. I've tried many cases that just trap the thermals when the modem is hunting for a signal in low-coverage areas. Actually, thinking about that light rail commute in Seattle, it reminds me of when they were first building out the cell towers near the stadiums. The engineering required to maintain a steady handoff between nodes while traveling at those speeds through concrete tunnels is basically insane. I used to spend hours reading up on the backhaul specs for the municipal fiber they laid down during the expansion phase. Its wild how much work goes into just making sure our Spotify doesnt skip while we are underground near Husky Stadium. Anyway lol sorry kinda went off topic there.
Been really satisfied with my ultra-thin setup lately, works well. Are you looking for a specific material like aramid fiber, or is a grippy TPU more what youve got in mind?
