Honestly I'm getting so frustrated with trying to be productive on this S24 Ultra because it's massive but I'm still just poking at it with one finger like a grandpa. I'm in London commuting like two hours a day and I really need to turn this thing into a mini workstation. My logic was to get a tiny keyboard but every one I see on Amazon looks like total junk. I've got maybe 150-200 bucks to spend right now before my next trip. I was thinking maybe a specific dock or a mouse that actually works with Dex without being a pain? Is there any gear that makes this feel like a real tool and not just a giant screen for scrolling...

Building on the earlier suggestion, I politely disagree that a keyboard is the most vital piece. To be productive, you need a stable connection foundation. Its non-negotiable. Ive been very satisfied with the Anker 555 USB-C Hub 8-in-1. It provides consistent DeX performance and keeps the S24 Ultra safe via steady power delivery. Cheaper hubs often disconnect or overheat on trains. That puts your work at risk.
Honestly, been there and it is actually kind of depressing how much junk is out there. I spent about six months trying to perfect my commute setup for the train and it was a total money pit at first. I fell for those best seller foldable keyboards on Amazon and they were just terrible... keys would ghost or double-tap constantly which is the last thing you want when you are trying to bang out emails. I eventually had to admit that those tiny folding ones just arent meant for actual work. I tried using the Anker 555 USB-C Hub 8-in-1 to get a real desktop feel with DeX, but unfortunately, it pulled so much power that my phone was actually losing charge while plugged in unless I used a massive power brick. It made the whole portable thing a joke. I finally settled on the Logitech MX Anywhere 3S Compact Wireless Mouse because the sensor actually tracks on those weirdly shiny train tables, but even then, the Bluetooth connection would occasionally stutter in high-interference areas like London Bridge station. If you are gonna do this, dont skimp on the mouse... a bad one makes DeX feel laggy and basically unusable. I still havent found a keyboard that fits in a pocket and doesnt feel like a toy, so I usually just carry a slim sleeve now. Its annoying but definitely better than poking at a screen.
I would suggest looking into the Logitech ecosystem for your mobile workstation setup. You might want to consider their portable Bluetooth keyboards since they generally offer the best reliability for DeX. Be careful with those cheap off-brand options on Amazon though, because they often have terrible latency issues. I would suggest sticking with a reputable brand for the mouse too. Just get any portable mouse from Logitech and you will be set.
