Ive been a Galaxy user since the S8 days and I've always just used my old Anker bricks or the official 45W wall plugs without a second thought. But I just picked up the S26 Ultra here in London and for some reason my old reliable PPS chargers arent triggering the max charging speeds anymore. It says its fast charging but the time to full is way longer than what the specs promised.

I have about fifty quid to spend on a new setup and I really need something that actually hits the peak wattage without overheating. I'm traveling next week so I need to grab something reliable fast. What are you guys actually using to get the absolute fastest speeds on the S26 Ultra right now?

> my old reliable PPS chargers arent triggering the max charging speeds anymore. Just saw this and had to jump in! The technical issue is likely the PPS protocol handshake. To hit those 45W peaks, you absolutely need a charger supporting 5A PPS and, crucially, a 5A rated cable. Most older bricks only support up to 3A, which caps the S26 Ultra at 25W regardless of what the brick says! I love the Anker 313 Charger Ace 45W because it is incredibly compact and specifically built for Samsung Super Fast Charging 2.0. It is a fantastic value at usually under thirty quid on Amazon UK! Pair it with the Anker 333 USB-C to USB-C Cable 5A 100W and you are still way under your fifty quid budget. Another amazing option is the Ugreen Nexode 45W Dual USB C GaN Charger. It uses GaN tech to stay cool while pushing max power. Just make sure the cable is 5A or it wont negotiate the higher current!

I've wasted a ton of cash over the years chasing peak speeds, only to find my setup was thermal throttling half the time. Be careful with those cheap multi-port bricks... they often drop wattage if you plug in a second device. I eventually grabbed the Spigen ArcStation Pro 45W Wall Charger GaN for my trips. Just make sure you use a proper 5A cable or you're basically wasting your time, tbh.

Unfortunately, a lot of my older gear hasnt been as good as expected with the newer Samsung tech. I had issues with speeds dropping until I switched to the Samsung 45W Power Adapter T4510. It actually hits Super Fast Charging 2.0 consistently without getting too hot. Tbh, for your trip, Id just stick with the official plug to stay safe.
