I've used 45W PPS bricks for years but my S26 Ultra is being super finicky with my old gear and keeps dropping speeds. It's driving me nuts.
What actually triggers SFC 2.0 reliably on this thing?
Building on the earlier suggestion, I've found that the brick is only half the battle. Over the years I've realized most SFC 2.0 drops happen because of the cable, not the charger. I switched to the UGREEN Nexode 45W GaN Dual Port USB C Charger for travel and it’s been rock solid. Just make sure you pair it with a proper UGREEN 100W USB C to USB C Cable 5A or it wont ever hit those peak speeds consistently.
Re: "My phone port fried once from a cheap..." - yeah, cheap gear is a total nightmare. I would suggest being really careful about the specific PPS profiles on those older bricks. To hit SFC 2.0 every time, you might want to consider:
My phone port fried once from a cheap setup, so I switched to a safer brick.
