I totally agree with the point about DJI being a solid choice for reliability, but honestly, you dont always have to spend top dollar to get something that works. Since the S21 Ultra is such a heavy phone, I was super cautious about finding a motor that wouldn't burn out after a few weeks of use. I actually went with the Hohem iSteady M6 because I wanted to save some cash without sacrificing stability. It’s basically a beast when it comes to payload capacity, which is GREAT for these larger Samsung devices. I’ve been using it for about four months now and it handles the weight of the Ultra like it’s nothing. If youre looking for a budget-friendly option that still feels professional and safe for your gear, this is definitely the one. It’s got all the technical stuff you need but at a much lower price point than the big name brands.
Been using this for years, no complaints
Big if true
Like someone mentioned, the S21 Ultra is basically a brick when it comes to weight. Most people here are leaning toward the big name brands for reliability, which totally makes sense, but motor torque is really the make-or-break factor. I learned that the hard way. I started out with a super cheap setup thinking it would handle it, but the motors would just give up whenever I tried to do a low-angle shot. Total waste of time and super frustrating. Eventually I found a sturdier option that was way more budget-friendly than the flagship ones and I've been pretty satisfied. It works well enough for what I need without the massive price tag. My current setup isnt flashy, but it handles the payload without overheating or vibrating. Just a heads up tho, definitely check the actual weight limits before you buy anything... balancing this phone is a nightmare if the arm isnt long enough to clear the side. I'm just happy I dont have to carry a massive tripod everywhere now.
Good to know!
Exactly what I was thinking
