I am super excited because I just pulled the trigger on the new Samsung Galaxy S24 FE! It seems like such a great value compared to the flagship models, but since the retail box is so slim these days, I am trying to figure out exactly what I need to pick up right away to make sure I am fully set up.

I realized it doesn't come with a charging brick, so that is my first priority. Should I just stick with the official Samsung 25W adapter, or is it better to go for a 45W one or even a reliable third-party brand like Anker? I am also pretty worried about scratching that big display. I have heard mixed things about screen protectors lately. Are tempered glass ones still the way to go, or do they mess with the fingerprint sensor on this specific model?

I am also looking for a case that offers a good balance between protection and bulk. I want to keep the phone looking sleek but I definitely need some solid drop protection for the corners and that camera bump. I have seen some MagSafe-style cases for Samsung phones lately and was wondering if those are actually worth it for the FE series.

For those of you who already have the S24 FE or are planning to get one, what are the absolute must-buy accessories you would recommend to get the most out of the device?

yo, congrats on the new phone!! honestly the S24 FE is such a fantastic choice... i have been using samsung phones for over 10 years now and the FE series always hits that sweet spot for the price. i totally feel u on the box being empty tho, it is so annoying lol. For your situation, i would suggest getting these specific bits to start with:

  • Charger: Between the Samsung 25W USB-C Wall Charger and a 45W one, honestly just stick with the 25W. I think the S24 FE is actually capped at 25W anyway so the extra speed wont even work on this model? I realy love the Anker 511 Charger Nano 30W because it is tiny but still packs enough punch for the FE.
  • Screen Protector: Glass is definately the way to go for protection. Since the FE uses an optical sensor instead of the ultrasonic one in the flagship, it actually works way better with glass! I recommend the Spigen Glas.tR EZ Fit Screen Protector for Galaxy S24 FE because the alignment tool makes it impossible to mess up.
  • Case: Those MagSafe cases are actually sooo useful. I would look at the Ringke Onyx Magnetic Case for Galaxy S24 FE. It is lowkey one of the best for grip and it lets you use magnetic wallets or car mounts which is a game changer. If you want more bulk for safety, the Spigen Tough Armor Case for Galaxy S24 FE is basically a tank. sooo yeah, basically focus on a reliable 25W brick and a magnetic case first. it makes the phone feel way more high-end! anyway, hope you love the phone as much as i think you will!! gl!! peace

Coming back to this... I went through this last year when I was setting up my last device and it was honestly such a headache. I mean, you expect things to just work, but the technical specs on these mid-range flagship models can be kinda picky. Since the S24 FE is capped at 25W wired charging, I realized buying a higher wattage brick was basically pointless for speed, though it helps with heat dissipation. Just sharing my experience with the gear I tested:

  • Samsung 25W USB-C Wall Charger vs Ugreen Nexode 30W GaN Charger: The official one is reliable, but the Nexode uses GaN tech which basically means it stays way cooler and is smaller. I actually had issues with the official brick making a high-pitched whining noise after a month.
  • Whitestone Dome Glass Screen Protector vs generic film: I highkey hated how the fingerprint sensor felt with cheap glass. The Whitestone uses a liquid UV cure that actually works with the optical sensor way better, but man, the installation is a nightmare.
  • Samsung Silicone Case with Strap vs ESR Magnetic Case for S24 FE: The official silicone was a massive disappointment cuz it stuck to my pockets and collected every piece of lint imaginable. The ESR case actually lets you use MagSafe accessories which is a game changer for car mounts. Basically, its all about finding stuff that supports the PPS standard for charging. If the charger doesnt have PPS, you wont even hit that 25W peak. Idk if that helps, but definitely check the specs before you buy. Good luck with the new phone tho, its a beast!

> I am also looking for a case that offers a good balance between protection and bulk. I want to keep the phone looking sleek but I definitely need some solid drop protection for the corners and that camera bump. I have been diving deep into the current accessory market for the S24 FE and, quite frankly, a lot of it is a bit disappointing right now. I have had issues with several major brands where the actual shock absorption in the corners was not as good as expected, despite their marketing claims. It feels like many manufacturers are reusing old molds that dont quite fit the new FE dimensions perfectly. To help narrow down the best path for you, are you looking for a case that specifically supports magnetic accessories like wallets or mounts? Also, do you prefer a completely clear case to show off the Samsung design, or are you open to solid colors and different textures?

Ok so I went through this same thing last year and realized I was totally overspending on big brands that didnt really offer more. tbh I used to be a glass snob but after some fingerprint sensor fails on my older devices, I changed my strategy for the S24 FE. I grabbed the Samsung 25W USB-C Power Adapter because it is super reliable. Seriously, skip the 45W since the FE caps at 25W anyway, so you just save money there! TL;DR: Stick to a 25W brick and a magnetic case for the best value without the extra bulk.

  • amFilm OneTouch Screen Protector for S24 FE
  • ESR Silicone Case with MagSafe for S24 FE
  • Baseus 30W GaN5 Fast Power Adapter I recently tried a MagSafe-style case and its actually a game changer for accessories... basically makes life way easier. Just dont expect 45W speeds on ur phone tho lol. Lesson learned: the standard 25W works perfectly and saves you cash for a better case.
