I just pre-ordered the Galaxy A56 5G and realized it doesn't include a wall adapter. I’m confused if I should get a 25W or 45W brick to hit those max speeds. Does it require a specific PPS charger to trigger 'Super Fast Charging'? I’d love recommendations for reliable brands that won't overheat—what are you guys using?

Just catching up, totally agree! Seen cheap bricks melt ports... terrifying. Honestly, grab the IKEA SJÖSS 30W 1-port USB plug. It's UL-certified, safe, and only $7.99. Budget safety is the move

Sooo I actually went through this exact same thing when I got my last Samsung... I bought some random brick from a gas station and it basically turned into a heater lol, never again!! Honestly, you gotta be careful with these things because cheap ones just get way too hot and might hurt your battery long-term. For your A56 5G, you really want a charger that supports PPS (Programmable Power Supply) because that's what actually triggers the 'Super Fast Charging' text on the lock screen. Here is what I suggest:
* Samsung 25W USB-C Wall Charger with PPS — this is the standard choice and it's pretty cheap, usually around $15-20 online.
* Anker 313 Charger Ace 45W USB-C PPS Wall Charger — I use this one and it's tiny but packs enough punch for 45W if you wanna future-proof. Basically, dont cheap out on the brick cuz it's not worth the risk. Stick to big names and make sure the box says PPS and you'll be fine! gl!

Straight to the point: just grab a 25W brick. Anything more is basically just wasting cash because the A56 won't actually draw it. You might find this useful - check out price tracking sites like Slickdeals or CamelCamelCamel to find the Samsung 25W USB-C Wall Charger (EP-T2510) on sale. I've seen it drop under $15 plenty of times, so dont pay full retail if you can help it! Honestly, if you want something that stays cool and is super reliable, the Spigen ArcStation Pro 27W USB-C Wall Charger is another solid bet. It has PPS so it’ll trigger the "Super Fast Charging" notification without any issues. NGL, I'm always cautious about heat too, but these name-brand ones are way safer than the generic junk. Just make sure youre using a decent cable too... but yeah, gl with the new phone!!

You definitely need PPS to trigger Super Fast Charging safely, so I'd recommend the Samsung 25W USB-C Wall Charger or the Ugreen Nexode 30W GaN Fast Charger. I've used both and they stay cool while charging... definitely worth it for the peace of mind!
