Hey everyone! I just picked up the new Samsung Galaxy S24 FE, and as expected, the box was pretty slim—meaning no charging brick included. I'm coming from an much older device, so all I have are these old USB-A cubes that take forever to juice up a modern battery. I really want to make sure I’m getting the fastest speeds possible without damaging the battery long-term.

I know the S24 FE supports up to 25W wired charging, but I’m a bit confused by all the different standards out there. I’ve read that you specifically need a charger with PPS (Programmable Power Supply) support to actually trigger Samsung’s 'Super Fast Charging' mode, but I'm not sure which third-party brands are actually reliable for this. I’ve been looking at some compact GaN chargers from Anker and Ugreen since they're great for travel, but I don't want to waste money on a 45W or 65W brick if the phone can't even utilize that extra power.

Does anyone have a specific recommendation for a reliable, budget-friendly charger (maybe under $30) that works perfectly with the S24 FE? Also, does the cable matter as much as the brick, or will the one that came in the box be enough?

I mean, I'd suggest being careful with random cheap brands. > I don't want to waste money on a 45W or 65W brick Totally, its basically a waste for the FE. Id compare the Ugreen Nexode 30W USB C GaN Charger vs the Baseus 30W GaN5 Fast Charger. The Ugreen is super reliable for travel, while the Baseus is usually way cheaper. Just make sure your stock cable is actually USB-C on both ends or it wont fit. Better safe than sorry!

Seconding the recommendation above! If ur looking for a solid alternative, the Anker 312 Charger (Ace, 25W) is basically perfect since it supports PPS. Unfortunately, I had issues with a generic brick before that was not as good as expected, so just double-check for that PPS label... also the stock cable is totally fine for 25W!

Unfortunately, I had issues with generic bricks overheating. Sucked. I eventually grabbed the Spigen 27W USB C ArcStation Pro PE2007 for $16—it’s safe, PPS-ready, and basically hasn't let me down once.

in my experience, just grab the Samsung 25W USB-C Wall Charger (EP-TA800). it's literally the only way to get that Super Fast Charging badge... plus the stock cable works totally fine! gl

Totally agree on the PPS point—honestly, without it, you're just stuck in the slow lane. As someone who likes to handle my own tech maintenance and DIY repairs, I always look at a good charger as a form of preventative maintenance for the battery. If you use a garbage brick, you're just fast-tracking yourself to a professional battery replacement service in a year or two. A few tips from a DIY perspective:
* Go with any of the higher-end chargers from Belkin. You basically cant go wrong with their power delivery tech.
* Pick up a heavy-duty cable from a brand like OtterBox. The stock ones are fine, but they tend to fray at the neck which can short out your port if youre not careful.
* Look for GaN tech specifically because it keeps everything cooler, and heat is the #1 enemy of your FE's internals. Its way better to over-spec your gear now than to deal with the hassle of a repair later. Like others said, just look for that PPS badge and you'll be golden.

Saw this thread earlier and just wanted to weigh in from a repair perspective. Everyone here is basically spot on about needing that PPS support and how anything over 25W is kind of a waste for the FE. I used to be way more careless with my gear until I had to perform surgery on my old phone to swap out a swollen battery. It was honestly a huge pain to pry it out without causing more damage, and it really opened my eyes to how much heat affects the hardware long-term. Now, I basically treat my charging setup as preventative maintenance. The one I got for my daily driver stays super cool even when it is pushing full speed. In my experience, those generic bricks that get burning hot are just fast-tracking you to a hardware failure. If you use a quality brick that handles the handshake properly, your battery will thank you in two years when it still holds a solid charge. Stick to the brands people mentioned that prioritize heat management and you should be golden.
