Which fast chargers work best with the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7?

Hey everyone! I finally pulled the trigger and pre-ordered the Z Fold 7, but I just realized my old charging bricks are super ancient. I am upgrading from a device that only used a 15W plug, so I really want to take full advantage of the Fold 7 faster speeds without damaging the battery.

I am a bit overwhelmed by the options online and want to make sure I get the right specs. I am specifically looking for a brick that supports:

  • Super Fast Charging 2.0 (45W)
  • Programmable Power Supply (PPS) support
  • Multiple ports for travel

Does anyone have specific recommendations for brands like Anker or Ugreen that actually trigger the super fast charging status on the screen? Which charger works best for you?

Saw your post and wanted to chime in because I am super picky about battery longevity. Quick question before you buy anything tho... do you already have a 5A rated USB-C cable? Even with a 45W brick, a standard cable will limit you to 25W, so definitely check that first. For reliability, the Samsung 45W Power Adapter T4510 is the gold standard because it follows their PPS specs perfectly, tho it only has one port. If you really need multi-port for travel, I like the Anker 735 Charger GaNPrime 65W. It is very efficient, but just be aware that plugging in a second device usually restarts the charging handshake. Another solid pick is the Ugreen Nexode 65W 3-Port GaN Wall Charger. It is a bit more compact but runs slightly warmer than the official one under full load. I always prioritize heat management to keep the Fold battery healthy... honestly it is better to be safe than sorry with such an expensive phone.

Congrats on grabbing the Fold 7! That is a massive jump from 15W, you are gonna be shocked at how much faster it fills up. I have been using the Fold series since the second generation and the charging tech can definitely be a bit confusing if you dont keep up with it. Basically, for Samsung to hit that Super Fast Charging 2.0 (45W) status, you need a brick that supports PPS (Programmable Power Supply) with a specific current. The phone needs to see at least 4.05A at 11V. A lot of generic 45W or even 65W chargers lack the right PPS profile, so they just default to 25W. Also, super important: you gotta use a 5A rated cable. If you use a standard cable, the phone will cap the speed even if the brick is powerful enough. For a multi-port setup that actually works, I highly recommend the Anker 737 Charger GaNPrime 120W. I use it every day and it triggers the 2.0 badge on my Samsung devices every single time. It has two USB-C ports and one USB-A, so its perfect for travel. If you want something a bit more compact, the Ugreen Nexode Pro 65W GaN Charger is another fantastic choice that supports the exact PPS specs Samsung requires. Honestly, once you see that blue charging ring instead of the green one, you wont ever want to go back to your old 15W plugs. Just make sure the cable you use is chunky enough to handle the 5A current!

tbh i am in the exact same boat right now. i just pre-ordered too and i am super paranoid about heat and battery health on a foldable. i have been looking at the Belkin BoostCharge Pro 65W Dual USB-C GaN Wall Charger with PPS for myself because GaN tech stays way cooler than older bricks. it is a bit of an investment but worth the peace of mind. just check for sales to keep it under fifty bucks.

Agreed on the cables. Just watch out for cheap generic bricks... without proper PPS support theyll just overheat your device and wont actually trigger that super fast charging status.

Ok adding this to my list of things to try. Thanks for the tip!
