Hey! Looking for a solid car mount for my new Samsung Z Fold 6. I've got a 2021 Honda Civic. Seen a few online, but with the Fold's size, I'm worried about stability. Anyone have recommendations that won't break the bank? Budget is around $50.

Z Fold owner here. Unfortunately, suction cup mounts had issues with my '22 Civic. ProClip USA (around $30) is vehicle-specific and rock solid. Not as good as expected, but the best I've found.

Z Fold's weight is tricky! Forget standard magnetic mounts. Consider a RAM Mounts X-Grip; its spring-loaded mechanism offers better stability. Ensure the 'large phone' version. SAE J3052 compliant ball-and-socket joints are critical for vibration damping. Position carefully to avoid airbag interference. Be careful with vent mounts; they might not handle the weight.

Before buying, check local online marketplaces! I found a barely-used iOttie mount for $20. Might save you some serious cash; just make sure it's sturdy enough.

RAM Mounts are popular, but overpriced. Scosche MagicMount is cheaper, though I had issues with long-term hold.

Hey! With the Fold 6, safety's key. I'd avoid mounts that rely *solely* on magnets; had issues with those vibrating loose. Scosche MagicMount *might* work, but honestly, I'd prioritize a cradle-style mount that physically secures the phone. A dropped phone while driving is a major hazard, right? Are those cradle ones pricier, maybe? Worth the extra peace of mind, though.
