I just treated myself to the new Samsung Galaxy S24 FE, and I’m absolutely loving the display, but now I need to figure out the audio situation. I’m looking for a pair of wireless earbuds that really take advantage of the Samsung ecosystem, specifically features like the Seamless Codec for better sound quality and the auto-switching between devices. I’ve been debating between the high-end Galaxy Buds3 Pro and the more budget-friendly Buds FE, but I’m also open to third-party brands if the integration is still smooth. Noise cancellation is a big priority for me since I commute daily. For those of you already using the S24 FE, which earbuds have given you the most reliable connection and best features for the price?

Respectfully, I'd consider another option. Saw this earlier but just responding now... while the Buds3 Pro mentioned earlier is flashy, I’m still super satisfied with the Samsung Galaxy Buds2 Pro. You get that premium 24-bit codec and ANC for *waaay* less money now. It’s basically the sweet spot for an S24 FE user who wants the ecosystem features without the huge price tag. Honestly, best value choice imo!

In my experience, commuting is loud, so I think the Samsung Galaxy Buds3 Pro beats the Samsung Galaxy Buds FE cuz the 24-bit SSC codec is literally amazing on ur S24 FE!!

> Third-party is okay, but you realy lose out on that 24-bit codec. I have to respectfully disagree with the idea that you lose out on quality by going third-party. In my experience testing mobile audio over the years, people often forget that Samsung devices support the LDAC codec. This is a high-bitrate 24-bit protocol that opens up some incredible options outside the Galaxy ecosystem. If noise cancellation is your absolute priority for commuting, the Sony WF-1000XM5 is still hard to beat. The passive isolation from their hybrid foam tips combined with their QN2e processor provides better attenuation of train and bus noise than what ive heard from the Buds3 Pro. Another methodical choice would be the Bose QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds. Their proprietary CustomTune technology calibrates the sound specifically to your ear canal shape every time you put them in. While you do lose the Samsung-specific auto-switch, these brands use standard multipoint which is quite reliable for jumping between a laptop and your S24 FE. Its worth considering these if ANC is the main goal.

Sooo, after years of testing setups, I'd say just go with any high-end Samsung gear. The ecosystem features are literally sooo much smoother than third-party brands. Third-party is okay, but you realy lose out on that 24-bit codec. Any premium model from the brand will give you top-tier ANC for the commute. Just grab whatever is on sale... they hold their value way better long-term lol!! TL;DR: Stick with the official brand for the best integration.

Re: "> Third-party is okay, but you realy lose..."

  • Honestly, reading all these comparisons just reminds me why I'm so fed up with the current state of mobile tech. I've been around the block with so many different pairs over the years and it feels like a losing game. We've got people debating the Samsung Galaxy Buds3 Pro versus older gear, but the whole situation is just a mess.
  • It's such a scam that we even have to worry about specific proprietary codecs just to get decent sound out of a premium phone.
  • The way these companies build these walled gardens drives me crazy... you're basically stuck paying the ecosystem tax if you want features to actually work together.
  • Honestly, the prices are getting out of control for gear that has such a short shelf life because of the batteries. It's ridiculous.
  • I'm just so tired of the constant trade-offs between smart features and actual audio reliability when you're just trying to get through a loud commute. It's like they dont even care about the actual user experience anymore, just how many features they can gatekeep...

Coming back to this... Over the years, I've seen too many people focus on ANC and totally forget about safety while commuting. Quick question - are u walking near traffic or just on a train? I think some brands have poor ambient modes that feel dangerous, but idk ur specific environment yet. Lesson learned: always prioritize a reliable passthrough so u dont get surprised by a car lol!
