Is there literally any way to share my Amazon cart with someone who doesnt have an account? Im honestly so fed up with how difficult this is. My sister is moving to her first apartment in Chicago this Saturday and she needs to approve all the kitchen stuff I picked out but she refuses to make an account because she hates big tech or whatever. I have like 20 items in there and I really dont want to screenshot every single thing one by one.

Its taking forever and Im super stressed about the timeline. Does a tool or a link exist for this or am I just stuck doing manual labor for her lol...

Regarding what #1 said about the nightmare, i totally agree. Watch out for:

  • privacy leaks
  • data scrapers Im happy using Share-A-Cart, it works well for me.

Honestly i feel your pain lol. Over the years ive tried basically every workaround for this because my parents are the exact same way about big tech accounts. Dealing with 20 items is a nightmare if youre doing screenshots one by one... basically a data entry job you didnt sign up for. In my experience, the most efficient technical solution is to move your cart items into an Amazon Idea List. Its a bit of a hidden feature for this specific use case. Here is how i usually handle it:

  • Move all the items from the cart to a new list
  • Go to the list settings and change the privacy from Private to Public
  • Copy the share link and text it over Your sister wont need to sign in to see the names, prices, or photos of the kitchen gear. Its way cleaner than a bunch of messy images in a group chat. Using lists is better because the metadata stays intact so she can see the exact specs of that blender or whatever. Another option is Share-A-Cart. Ive used this browser extension for a long time to manage bulk orders for my tech lab. Basically, it scrapes your current session, bundles the items into a unique ID, and generates a link that anyone can view. It takes like five seconds and avoids the whole account login wall entirely. TL;DR: Dont do manual labor. Move everything to an Idea List and set it to Public, or use a tool like Share-A-Cart to send her a quick link she can view without logging in.

Building on the earlier suggestion, be careful with browser extensions and privacy. Does your sister need to see final tax and shipping? Make sure you verify those landing page costs first tho.

Re: "Can confirm this works. Did the same thing..." - totally agree. Ive been around the block with these shopping tools for years and honestly, Share-A-Cart is the only one that actually stays consistent. Compared to native Amazon lists which are kinda buggy if you arent logged in, this tool just works. Basically, it takes a snapshot of your current session and turns it into a unique code or link. Your sister can just open that link and see everything you picked out for her kitchen without ever having to sign up for anything. I've used it for a long time for people who are paranoid about tracking and it handles even large carts with 20+ items without breaking a sweat. It beats manual labor any day, and since shes in a rush for her move to Chicago, this is gonna save you both a massive headache. No complaints from my side, it really is the most direct way to get it done.

Regarding what #5 said about "Re: "Can confirm this works. Did the same..." - honestly its just ridiculous that we even have to find these workarounds! I totally feel your pain with the moving stress. Its absolutely insane how hard they make it to just... buy things? It drives me crazy how these big tech companies build these walled gardens just to harvest data. They make it impossible to do simple stuff because they want everyone trapped in their ecosystem. Its such a scam! And dont even get me started on how the prices for basic kitchen stuff have skyrocketed while the quality is basically garbage now. Everything feels like cheap plastic that breaks in a week. Honestly some of the stuff i hate most:

  • the constant login prompts that never go away
  • prices changing every five minutes for no reason
  • search results being 90 percent ads for junk brands I went through this exact same thing when I was doing a DIY overhaul of my guest room last summer. Spent more time fighting with the website than actually picking out materials. It was a total nightmare! But you are doing an amazing thing helping your sister get settled. Stay strong because moving is always a circus but you got this!
