How can I share my Amazon DE shopping cart with a friend?

How on earth do I share my entire Amazon.de shopping cart with my friend without having to literally hand over my login credentials because this is getting ridiculous. I have been sitting here for the last two hours trying to find a simple share button or a link generator or something but apparently Amazon just doesnt want my money? Im trying to put together a housewarming package for my best friend who just moved into a new flat in Berlin and we have a budget of about 200 Euros for the whole thing and I am already stressed out enough with the move as it is.

I have found all the perfect stuff - there is this specific Bosch kettle, some really nice heavy towels, and a bunch of kitchen essentials - but now my other friend who is splitting the cost with me wants to see everything before I hit buy. I tried taking screenshots but there are like 15 items and it looks like a mess and I keep missing things and it just looks unprofessional. Plus the prices on Amazon DE keep jumping around like crazy today so by the time I send a screenshot the total is different and then we have to recalculate the split.

Is there an extension or a specific setting I am missing? I even tried moving everything to a List but then you have to add them back to the cart one by one to check out and it messes up the shipping estimates since some are Prime and some arent and it just adds extra steps I dont have time for. Its honestly so frustrating that a multi-billion dollar company makes it this hard to just show someone what you are planning to buy. We need to get this ordered by Friday so it arrives when she gets her keys but I am stuck in this loop of copying and pasting links into WhatsApp which is taking forever and I keep losing track of which ones I already sent.

Has anyone found a workaround for this? Maybe a browser plugin that actually works for the German site specifically? Or is there a way to make a collaborative cart that I just havent stumbled upon yet? I am genuinely about to just give up and buy everything from a different site if I cant figure this out soon...

@Reply #1 - good point! honestly, Amazon makes this way harder than it needs to be. be careful tho, those public wishlists can sometimes leak your full name or address if you dont check the privacy settings first. i would suggest using a specific tool so you dont mess around with manual screenshots. I use Cart to Link whenever I'm doing collaborative shopping — just generate a link and share it on WhatsApp or whatever.

I totally feel your pain, honestly. I went through the exact same nightmare a couple years ago when I was trying to coordinate a big group gift for a coworkers retirement. We had like 20 people chipping in for a fancy coffee setup and I was the one stuck trying to show everyone the cart. I tried the screenshot method too and it was a total disaster because prices kept shifting every five minutes... In my experience, the only thing that actually works without losing your mind is using a dedicated browser extension. Ive tried a bunch of workarounds over the years but my current setup involves Share-A-Cart.

  • It lets you generate a simple code or link for your whole cart.
  • Your friend just clicks it and everything loads into their own Amazon DE cart instantly.
  • No login sharing needed which is way safer anyway. Its honestly the only way I do group orders now. Hope you get it sorted by Friday!
