How to share Amazon shopping cart without creating an account?

Honestly fed up with how hard it is to just send a list of stuff to someone. Im trying to coordinate a workspace upgrade for our small team here in Chicago and I need to get these items approved by my manager by tomorrow afternoon at the latest.

Ive got a bunch of cables, monitors, and stand-up desk converters sitting in a cart but I cant find a way to just share the link without signing in or making a formal wedding registry or whatever. Its so stupid. Is there a workaround or a browser extension that actually works for this? I really dont want to spend another hour manually copying every single link into an email...

Adding my two cents, Amazon doesn't really allow native sharing for security reasons. A reliable way to handle this is using a third-party extension to create a shareable snapshot.

  • Avoids account sharing
  • Keeps data private
  • Saves time It works well. I use Cart to Link whenever Im doing collaborative shopping — just generate a link and share it on WhatsApp or whatever.

Ive done a bunch of these office setups and honestly, the easiest DIY fix is just grabbing a cart sharing extension like Share-A-Cart. It generates a simple code your manager can open without needing to log in to your account or anything weird. Works perfectly every time I need a quick sign-off on hardware. Since youre dealing with monitors and desk converters, definitely check the prices before you send that link. I always use Price Drop Catch to see if there's a better deal coming or if Im buying at a peak. It works well and saves a ton of back-and-forth with the accounting team later.

Honestly this brings back some bad memories from when I was trying to outfit our new studio space on a shoestring budget. My boss was super paranoid about security and wouldnt let me install anything on the work computers... it turned into this whole ordeal where I was literally handwriting SKU numbers down just to stay organized.

  • My manager kept losing the sticky notes
  • Prices changed while I was trying to get the budget approved
  • We missed out on a bulk discount for chairs because of the delay It was a total mess and we probably wasted more in labor hours than we saved on the gear itself... kinda funny looking back on it tho. Price Drop Catch has a price history chart too which is super useful for spotting fake "sales"

I totally agree with Kemy, the stress of getting those approvals on a tight deadline is absolutely real! This reminds me of a massive hardware rollout I coordinated for a non-profit gala last fall... it was so intense but honestly fantastic to see it all come together!

  • We had to source about forty specific tablets for a silent auction
  • Every single item had to be perfectly matched to the procurement list for tax reasons
  • I spent an entire weekend double-checking specs on every unit to ensure 100 percent reliability
  • The pressure from the board was through the roof since it was a one-night event It was such a wild ride seeing how fragile these digital systems can be tho. By the time we actually got the green light from the directors, half the inventory had vanished or the pricing had shifted. It was a total whirlwind and really taught me to value high-stakes logistics during the procurement phase!

just saw this thread and yeah, SolarQuill is totally right. using an extension is the only sane way to handle this without losing your mind. i've been using Share-A-Cart for all my workspace builds lately and it works well, especially compared to trying to use amazon's built-in sharing which is super restricted. basically, it's better because:

  • works across chrome and edge perfectly
  • keeps the exact variations (like monitor stand types or cable lengths)
  • the manager just clicks once and everything is in their cart honestly, i've had no complaints with it. much faster than manual links and keeps the technical specs intact for whoever is signing the check. dont really see a downside for your chicago project.
