Is there a built-in feature to send an Amazon cart to someone?

I've been using Amazon Prime for like ten years now so I usually know my way around the UI pretty well but I am honestly hitting a wall here and getting a bit stressed because my moms 60th birthday is this coming Friday and I have about $450 worth of decorations and catering supplies sitting in my cart right now. My logic was that I could just find a share button or some kind of permalink to send the whole cart over to my sister so she can put it on her card since she’s handling the budget for the party rentals and stuff but for the life of me I cannot find a built-in way to do it.

I considered making a public Wish List but that seems so extra because then she has to add every single item one by one and some of these are specific bulk quantities of napkins and specific lighting kits that I dont want her to mess up. I even looked through the account settings to see if there was some kind of family sharing thing for carts but it looks like that’s just for Prime benefits. Am I just blind or did they actually not include a simple send cart feature in 2024? I really dont want to have to take fifteen screenshots and text them to her and hope she finds the exact same SKUs... is there some hidden extension or a mobile shortcut I'm missing?

> I really dont want to have to take fifteen screenshots and text them to her and hope she finds the exact same SKUs I went through this exact same headache last summer when I was trying to coordinate a big order for a DIY patio project. I am fairly new to managing big projects like that and I honestly assumed there would be a share button right next to the checkout. It seems so basic, right? I tried the wishlist thing too and it was a total mess... half the items didnt keep the quantities I set and it took forever to fix. I eventually found Share-A-Cart which is basically an extension that makes a code for the whole cart. It definitely beats the screenshot method. Just a heads up tho, you really gotta watch out for price changes. When I sent my cart over to my husband, the price of the gravel we were buying actually ticked up by like ten bucks while it was sitting in his cart because the seller changed. Also, be careful with any clippable coupons. Sometimes those dont carry over to the second person even if the items do, so your sister might need to manually click the apply coupon box on her end to keep that $450 budget in check. Hope the birthday party goes well and you guys manage to get everything ordered in time! It is a lot of pressure but you are doing a great job organizing it all.

Youre totally right to be annoyed! It is honestly shocking that Amazon doesnt have a one-click share button yet! Managing high-budget tech builds and bulk orders means I have spent way too much time looking for this. Since youre trying to stay under that $450 limit, your best bet is definitely a Collaborative List! This is way more precise than screenshots and ensures she gets the exact SKUs you picked out.

  • Hit the Invite button on a new list and set her as a collaborator.
  • Make sure she checks for those Clip Coupon buttons on the bulk items!
  • Itll show her if prices drop before she hits buy so you guys can save even more. Collaborative lists are the only way to keep the quantities perfect without her having to search for everything manually. Love how much money you can save by watching those list price fluctuations!
