Hey everyone! I just recently pulled the trigger and upgraded to the iPhone 16 Plus. While I’m absolutely loving the massive screen real estate and that incredible battery life, I’ve run into a bit of a practical snag: my current car mount is struggling big time.

I’ve been using a basic spring-loaded vent clip for the last couple of years, but the 16 Plus is a total beast compared to my old phone. It’s significantly heavier and wider, and I’ve noticed that every time I hit a speed bump or take a sharp turn, the mount starts sagging downward. I’m honestly a little paranoid that the weight is eventually going to snap my air vent slats or, worse, send my brand-new phone flying onto the floorboards.

I really want to move over to a MagSafe-compatible mount this time around. I think it would be a total game changer to just 'tap and go' without fumbling with manual clamps every time I get in the car. However, I have some concerns about the magnet strength. Since the 16 Plus is one of the heavier models, I need something with a serious grip that won't let the phone slide off during a bumpy commute.

I’ve also been looking at the new design of the phone, specifically the placement of the Camera Control button. I’m worried that if I don’t go the MagSafe route, a traditional cradle might press against that button or make it hard to access. Does anyone have experience with mounts that play nice with the new button layout?

I’m stuck between getting a dashboard suction mount for better stability or sticking with a vent mount to keep the phone cool with the AC while I’m using GPS. My budget is flexible, but I really want something high-quality that won't wobble.

Does anyone have a specific MagSafe car mount they swear by for the larger iPhone 16 Plus? I’d love to hear about what’s actually holding up well in the real world!
