Looking for iPhone 12 deals! Anyone know where to find the best price with a budget of $400?

Just saw this discussion and had to chime in. I've spent a lot of time under the microscope with these devices, and honestly, the engineering inside is pretty impressive. My journey with DIY repairs started because I hated paying the premium for mint condition units when I knew I could just swap the components myself. I remember the first time I managed to migrate a serialized chip to keep FaceID working... such a rush. Tbh, if you're looking to save money, just go with Apple for your next used purchase. You can't go wrong with their hardware because the documentation and community support for repairs are just way better than anyone else. Just grab a fair condition unit from a reputable site and don't be afraid to get your hands dirty with some tools. It's way more satisfying than just buying something new off the shelf anyway.

Ok so if youre dead set on the iPhone+12&linkCode=osi&------123456890?5422-20" target="_blank" rel="nofollow sponsored">iPhone 12, the best way to stay under $400 is to buy one in "fair" condition and just do a little DIY work. Most people overpay for "mint" used phones, but you can find deals if youre willing to swap a battery yourself. Basically, here is what I would do:
- Check Swappa or Back Market for a 12 with "Fair" battery health - you can usually find these for around $275-$310.
- Use the Apple Self Service Repair store to order a genuine battery replacement kit.
- Follow the official manuals or iFixit to swap it out. Tbh, even with the cost of the official battery (around $90), youre still coming in under budget with a brand new battery. Its way better than rolling the dice on a "refurbished" unit that might have cheap knock-off parts inside - plus you actually know whats in your phone. Just be careful with the screen adhesive!

Bump - same question here

Honestly, I wouldn't bother. My iPhone 12 battery life was disappointing. Had issues with it after a year. For $400, check out a used iPhone 11 Pro Max instead. Bigger screen, often better battery, and honestly, not as good a camera, but close enough for the price.

Before you jump, consider iPhone SE (2022)! A15 chip is amazing for the price! Camera is fantastic, and you'll save a ton of cash! I love it!

Used iPhone 11 Pro might be smarter. Similar features, half the price, around $300 now.

Hey, buying used phones can be risky. I'd be careful about battery health and potential security issues. Consider a refurbished iPhone SE from Apple directly instead. While it's not a 12, you'll get Apple's warranty and updates. Peace of mind is worth it, trust me – had a buddy fry his car's Bluetooth with a sketchy phone once!
