Hey! Seeing any good refurbished deals on the iPhone 16e lately? Specifically looking for something unlocked. Budget is around $400. Any leads?

I agree that DIY and generic refurbs are a total headache, but honestly, I’d be even more worried about the modem compatibility at that $400 price point. Tbh, if you're actually finding a 16e for $400 already, it's almost certainly a regional variant or a gray-market unit. I disagree that price is the only thing to watch—you have to check the specific model numbers. A lot of those "unlocked" deals are for units that lack the mmWave bands or the specific 5G frequencies used by local carriers. You end up with a phone that’s technically "unlocked" but basically limited to slower speeds because the hardware doesn't match the network, you know? It’s a huge compatibility trap if you aren't careful, haha. **TL;DR:** Watch out for regional model numbers. A cheap "unlocked" 16e might not actually support your carrier's 5G bands properly, making the deal a waste of money.

Skip the 16e, honestly. I got a used iPhone 13 last year for $350. Still works great and does everything I need. Worth considering!

iPhone 16e might be tough to find refurbished, it's so new. Consider a 15 Pro; the A17 Bionic chip is still a beast. Check Swappa, prices dip to around $600.

Hold up on that 16e, dude! For $400, think long-term reliability. My buddy's cheap refurb fried his car's Bluetooth constantly – super distracting! Consider a *new* Motorola; peace of mind is priceless, especially on the road! Safety first, always!

Instead of the 16e, consider a used iPhone 13. You'll find unlocked ones around $300. Replacement batteries are cheap and readily available, extending its life. Happy with mine; no complaints for daily driving (apps, calls, music).

Hey! Haven't seen iPhone 16e refurbs, but Samsung Galaxy S23 refurbs are hitting that $400 mark unlocked. Might be worth comparing specs? Just a thought!

Hey! Haven't seen iPhone 16e refurbs personally, but consider an SE. My 2020 model still works well. Maybe safer long-term? Just a thought!

DIY screen replacement is cheaper, but tricky. Check iFixit; parts ~$150. It works, mostly.
